From a report from Cassidy, KSU is the 1st high major to offer Hawkins.

got to give goebbels and his staff credit.  they know what they're good at, and they don't deviate from their plan.

Alex Kline

Long Beach State, Illinois State, Tennessee & Kansas State are now recruiting 2014 PG Ethan Telfair of New York.

Bassy's little bro, I know Kline refers to him as '14 above but everything else I've read about him says he '13, just completing his JR yr at Brooklyn's Lincoln HS. It sounds like he was going to reclassify and transfer last fall but that didn't happen. I imagine reclassing is still a possibility for him, I just haven't seen any recent confirmation on that.

Recent Scout update on Jones, no mention of KSU, he is emphasizing academics in his updates, specifically a quality engineering program.

"* Give Damian Jones time and strength and he’ll put it all together. The 2013 Texas Titans big man shows what he’s capable of in flashes, and kept fighting tough against Jahlil Okafor, despite giving up so much weight in the matchup.

Jones claimed offers from LSU, Alabama, Texas Tech, Texas A&M, Oklahoma and Florida, with interest from Vanderbilt, Stanford, Louisville and Georgetown."

Although Jones is presently a 3* NR prospect on Rivals(Bossi has stated he's a good bet to make the Top 150 and possibly even Top 100 when Rivals updates their rankings next), ESPN and Scout both currently have him in their Top 100, 71 and 90 respectively.

http://scouthoops.scout.com/a.z?s=75&p=8&c=1&nid=6276020

Here's a couple blurbs from Telep about Jones:

"He's the prototypical not-ready-for-prime time late developing big man with a perfect 4.0 GPA."

"Damian Jones (Baton Rouge, La./Scotlandville), a 2013 power forward, is the complimentary post to the powerful Julius Randle. Jones is as solid a long-term stock buy as I've seen this spring. He's not ready to be anyone's No. 1 recruit at a high-major, but he should be on everyone's radar."

V. Brown, claiming KSU offer as recently as this week, from the MN site:

"I've received offers from Minnesota and Kansas State in the past month," Brown said. "Those are my two biggest offers right now. And then Butler and Davidson have also been recruiting me pretty heavily."

NBPA Top 100 camp roster announced, event takes place June 13-16 in Charlottesville, VA,  current KSU targets making the roster are Kendal Harris, Jaquan Lyle('14), Semi Ojeleye, and Jabari Parker*.

http://hoopniks.com/2012-nbpa-top-100-camp-roster-schedule-announced

*Everyone here should be fairly aware that the odds of KSU landing Parker are not high, but KSU has offered him and Parker has not formally narrowed his school list. So he gets the esteemed distinction of a goEMAW mention here, unlike Wainright, who has been invited to the camp, was offered by KSU, but recently eliminated KSU from his list.

Jabari would be stupid not to pick the KSU Cats if you ask me.

It's an offer that on the surface appears to be really tough to refuse, but I guess he's gotta do his own thing.

Stuff on Harris from Daniels at the Pangos AA camp that took place last weekend:

"Kendal Harris, SG – During the first round of games, Harris, a 2013 prospect out of Richardson (Tex.) Berkner, aggressively attacked the basket looking to score. He knocked down a three to go with a handful of finishes at the rim. A combo guard, Harris opts to play on the ball during travel season, but he possesses the attributes to play both guard positions."

Highlights from Harris' JR season this past year at Richardson Berkner HS linked below.

DeAnte' Mitchell ?@CollegiateHoops
Hamilton Heights (IN) SF Alex Etherington '13 is taking an unofficial to Kansas State today.

The odds of this visit being legit are probably much better than the Ayinde Sprewell fiasco, tweeters in the upper midwest were referring to Etherington's visit about a week back.

Several outlets had previously reported a KSU offer to Etherington, but it's not showing on his Rivals profile, this reported visit kinda makes me think it might be a solid offer.

FWIW, his AAU coach on Indiana Elite South is former coach now commentator Dan Dakich.

"Davis mentioned that Nebraska, Oklahoma, Xavier, Marquette, USC, LSU, DePaul, Wichita State, UNLV, Kansas State and Northwestern have showed interest in him this spring."

From Mitchell, new name, Kentan Facey 6'9" PF currently attending school on Long Island, NY but originally from Jamaica. Facey is currently unranked but he has offers from UConn, St. John's, and Rhode Island and others along with interest from Florida:

"He picked up interest from Duquesne, Dayton, Xavier and all have very high interest in him," his AAU coach Karriem Meminger said. "A lot of phone calls are coming in from USC's head coach [Kevin O'Neal] and Colorado called." Meminger also mentioned that West Virginia, UAB, Kansas State and Yale recently called about Facey, who received an invite to the prestigious Amare Stoudemire Academy, a camp that welcomes the top frontcourt prospects in the country."

Hassan Martin article from NY Post:

"The long-armed and explosive junior is playing high level AAU ball for the first time, with New Heights’ loaded 17U team. His recruitment has exploded, with scholarship offers from Providence, Rhode Island, Fordham, Iowa State, Kansas State, St. Bonaventure, Duquesne and UMass."

we are going to rough ridin' suck soon.

Davis sounds like he could be pretty damn good, I have no idea why we just didn't offer him 2 months ago, hound him like hell and just hope for the best.

Crosby('14) from Bmore sounds pretty damn good, I guess we'll be finding out how much pull Chet really has there.

IL guys Tyquone Greer and Bates-Diop sound like they've got a lot of potential in '14, as does Custer, hope the connections are strong and/or can be built stronger.

At the end of the day, it's probably going to come down to DITRs, or the ability to distinguish between DITRs and T(urds)ITRs, or maybe just get lucky.
