Cheesy Mustache QB might make an appearance.

New warning: Don't get in a fight with someone who doesn't even need to bother to buy ink.

Alabama, Ole Miss, Georgia, and Tulane are some other schools showing interest in the Florida product."

Well, per Cassidy, Sprewell, was actually visiting Labette Co JC yesterday, NOT KSU. Great job Pastrana.

From the KSU perspective, move along, nothing to see here.  :frown:

Wow, he is going JUCO and not D1.  Pretty solid marketing video from his camp.   :dubious:

Last fall, Bossi had referred to Sprewell as a prospect who high majors may need to take a look at if he can gain consistency in his jump shot.

I think it's pretty clearly his grades, not ability, that are the primary reason for him having to go to JC, he was originally class of '12 but reclassed to '13, presumably to improve his grades, must have come to the realization that he just wasn't going to qualify without having go to JC, or something like that.

From Kline minion N.D. Kendrick, Alvin Ellis just received offers from Minnesota and Lasalle, joining KSU, Northwestern, and Wichita St.

Oregon, Cal, and MO St. have also begun showing interest in him.

i'm sure you're right, but he also had an entire vid highlights reel dedicated to showing him off and it didn't include footage of him taking a single jump shot or more than three dribbles in a row.  he's 6'3".

0:23, 0:34, 1:17, 1:46 jumpshots, they were all off the dribble, in no way can that be used as some sort of evidence that he's developed a consistent jumper, but there they are, take what you want from it.

Scout update on T. Miller, the PF from Lee's Summit. Minnesota just offered him, joining Arkansas, Creighton, Nebraska, and Colorado St. Also showing interest are Colorado and Missouri. No mention of KSU in the update.

this thread is now rough ridin' depressing.

reminds me of football recruiting. The real issue is that K-State doesn't have the reputation and pull established to go head to head against the big boys for recruits in any sport, with maybe the exception of WBB and even there we fall short. The issue isn't Weber it is compliance and no real wow factor, and it will always be that way until we learn how to attract top athletes..some way...either cash or change our image. Some programs take the risk of violations knowing they will develop the winning tradition until caught. KSU elects to go with lesser recruited players with potential. Most programs take on risk knowing it will only be a temporary setback and downplay academic importance....K-State on the other hand elects to play by the rules and holds players to a higher standard. That isn't what many top athletes prefer. We struck gold with Huggins and it was only a matter of time until Frank's fortune would have dwindled at K-State also just like the rest of them. Cold hard reality, I know...but that is the way it is. Some people are focusing in on Weber for not recruiting better, but you could probably insert any K-State coach besides Huggins in that category....even LHC Bill Snyder.

Per DeAnte' Mitchell K-State is now showing interest in Shirmane Thomas. He is a 6'2 shooting guard from Dallas. 3 star.

if we can consistently beat out the upper-tier valley teams for recruits, i see no reason to think we can't be every bit as good as an upper-tier valley team ourselves.

Thomas is another Urban DFW Elite kid, maybe we just want Harris really bad and are trying to sweeten the pot(package) to get him.

Hell, I don't know, just searching for positives here.

The day UW starts talking negatively about our recruiting will be the day we know to throw in the towel. I have a feeling that day is coming soon.

This is season two, after the losing starts.

Texas Christian University coach Gary Patterson has been hired as Kansas State's 34th football coach, multiple sources have confirmed to GoPowercat.com.  Patterson replaces Ron Prince, who was fired Wednesday. - Tim Fitzgerald   Nov, 7, 2008

Is that going to be the title of our 30/30?
