I've got a handyman fail today. While I was gone for a few months I let my cousin borrow my car a few times and the first time I drive it the tire is flat and has obviously been driven a lot on no air. I get to QT to air it up but there's a hole in the sidewall and it's beyond hope. I drive it home and decide to put the spare on there before I take it to a tire place. Get all the nuts off but the damn tire won't break free. I try all my handyman tricks and none of them work. 2 hours trying to get this tire off the wheel. I finally decide to see if there is mobile tire service like they do with windshields and duh of course there is and it's like only $20 more than going to the store. Now someone else can deal with it in like two days. What a waste of energy.

Bang with a hammer on the tire. Knock the rim with 2x4 & hammer. Put the nuts on loose and drive it back and forth on the driveway. Sumbitch is stubborn.

One thing that's actually worked for me is facing away from the tire and donkey kicking it with sole of my shoe.

fixed a hissing toilet today. such a small simple thing, and really makes me wonder how much i've paid in my life for things that could have been done with a proper 5 minute tutorial.

no it's the fill valve that just needed to be rinsed and very minorly adjusted

it's basically the exact situation presented here:
