The New Joe Montgomery Birther Pit / Re: Killing babies at 9 months

It’s a good mental exercise for people to convince themselves that a big decision they made in the past resulted in good things in their life.

Yeah, it's hard to find someone who has a big regret in life.

Was my statement really that confusing? I’m saying people who are able to do what Milano is doing in that tweet are mentally better off for it.

Yeah, I thought you were saying something different. I don't think it's particularly healthy to rationalize past decisions and always decide they resulted in good things.

I think taking a human life is immoral. I'm also glad she's not in jail for it, wasting taxpayer dollars.

Yeah, the action was immoral. I wasn't trying to imply that it wasn't.

i should do another poll, be interesting to see the movement from this spring.  if beto were to be hit by a semi on his way to iowa today, i'd pretty unenthusiastically vote for either booker or harris, not sure which.  that could change over the course of the next seven months.

i think either warren or buttigieg would be the weakest candidate in the general, but that isn't to say they couldn't win.  if it's a dem +8 environment (as 2018 was), either would win, as would any dem candidate.

my views on the dynamics in the primary haven't much changed much.  the race will narrow down to one moderate and one progressive sooner rather than later after the early states start voting and the moderate will eventually win, as clinton did, because there are more moderate dems than progressive dems.

warren is attracting more support/acceptance than i would have guessed from mainstream dems, but not enough to change my view as expressed above.

Didn't Clinton win because of super delegates? Didn't they throw super delegates out or reduce the number of them?

I hate super delegates!  :curse:

She didn't end up needing them.

You can more than do your part by just not having any kids. People over age 30 without kids should be tax exempt, imo.

I am never not going to call Mich Ultras club sodas now.

Every so often while I’m traveling around the country, I’ll have someone come up to me and say, “I’d love to grab a beer with you.” Well, here’s your chance.

Sign up now to enter and, if you win, we’ll fly you and a friend out to grab a drink with me. Personally, I prefer Michelob Ultra — the club soda of beers — but tea or a soda or whatever you want to drink works too. Good luck!

No contrib. necessary to win. Void w/ prohibited. Ends 9/30/19. Approx. prz value $3000. Subj. to Off. Rules.

Do you want open borders, Rage?

not nearly as much as your ancestors did...
I bet they did it legally and lol at comparing 1776 to today.

It's a lot easier to do it legally when the borders are open.

Do you want open borders, Rage?

I want anyone who can find work to be able to legally come here and work.

Do you think the problem is putting kids in cages, or is it overcrowding the cages and leaving the kids in them for months at a time?
Aren't they allowed to go back if they want? I honestly don't  know how it works, but if I was trying to enter a country illegally and got caught, i'd probably try and run back the other way. Anyways, I was responding to the kids in cages part initially.

Yeah, the 6 year old from Guatemala with no money and deported parents is free to get on a bus to Mexico if he'd like.

I know it's a Trump enrages me about everything kinda mood these days, but the cage talking point is very on brand by these media members trying to cut cheeto out. We've been operating like this (unfortunately) for over a decade and i'm kind of sick of the talking point by "the left (@mocat)". It's lazy and a uninspired one. You have a crap ton of ammunition to attack him, this one just isn't it.

We only started operating like this a couple of years ago.

Trump is a fat slob who isn't good at anything. Yang would whip his ass.
He just alienated the fat voter base.

Most fat people don't like fat, lazy slobs, either. People are not very self-aware.

do you guys cook squirrel, rabbit, feral hogs or other local game in these pregame tailgates as you call them?

Also, should we carry assault rifles to the tailgate, on account of any possible giant herds of feral hogs?
