I would trade every win over Nebraska in football except for 98 if it meant we could win that National Championship.

BUT, what happened happened. We can still enjoy Kansas State football.  :kstatriot:

At least someone semi gets it.  It's about the hardware fellas.  That's what it comes down to and what matters.

2
We've won a conference championship in this millennium  :comeatme:

So you're up to 1 now?

I've always wondered what one sounded like, after a monster score, outside the stadium.

When angered up, the chant is elite.  It's equally embarassing though when we try it down 20 points at home in the 4th quarter.

I'd take 86,000 yelling "Husker Power" (even though I"m not a huge fan of it) over 40,000 doing K S U wildcats.

Why does stupid thing like chants always have to be the best to you people?  You've never been the best.....at anything.

not even your team, GoButthurtRed

Sorry, there's my team.  The last picture I posted was just me showing how you chocked away the only chance you ever had at getting one of those.  And don't say you didn't chocke it because you did.  The biggest mistake for your team that year is that they showed the score of the UCLA game at half time.  Your team got lazy and played like they already won.  KSU was the better team that year and perhaps the best in the country that year.  You guys just know how to lose.   Even you guys can't deny that.  You had it and you lost it and you have no one to blame but yourself for that one.

...I have nothing against Ohio St or any other Big 10 school....

If I mention 1997 do you and MIG have a few things to discuss as long as we're talking no animosity and all?  I truly believe Michigan won the 1997 MNC but that's not for me to opine 'cause I'm just a wildcat.  Talk amongst yourselves but please stick around.

I think we can all reach an understanding that since we won 3 of the 4 polls, and had the most votes between the 2 major polls we were clearly THE Champs.. I don't mind that the coaches threw Tom Osborne a bone with his retirement gift of  .25 of a title..

It's like were both the champs, but they're far less championy and we keep the trophy at our house..

Weird thing is lots of people say that we'd win that game if it were to be played.

Man, it's killing them.  Killing.  Them.

Not sure if serious?

The fans that have common sense knew he wasn't going to sign for us, and that's ok.  He worked out and got to know the players during the summer.  Probably his last real chance to feel like a kid.

I hope he does good and some how can help make the royals at least decent.   When you're offered 7.5 million plus over 3 years, there really isn't a choice.  It's good to hear that him and our players got along well though.

Don't act like this is a big deal state, it really isn't.

Irrelevant.  Texas does not care about what happens to us either way.

I think they do. I care what happens to Iowa State.

If I care, others do. At least that's what I was raised to believe.

Heres an interesting quote from Texas I think you should read:

"Don't panic. Texas Athletic Director DeLoss Dodds, the Big 12 commissioner, said on Friday that the league will be fine but, whatever happens, "We'll (Texas) be in a good place. That's what we do. We're good at that.''

Good to see they say Texas will be in a good place, not the Big 12 will be in a good place.   Yeah, they really care.

Head on over to the big10 board u effin butthurt cornhole but then again I am an idiotgot

So you don't like facts or quotes?  Interesting.

You and your nebraska bros need to calm down. Why dont you hate on ohio state or something.

Because it's fun to watch the Big 12-2-1 squirm like this.  I have nothing against Ohio St or any other Big 10 school.
They didn't "make fun of us" or make fun of the fact that Brook Berringer died in a plane crash right before the draft, you ksu fans did a good job of doing that years after it happened.  Big 10 school didn't have a Decade of Dominance dvd.  During which  that "decade" (pending on the years when it started, I"ve never watched it) Nebraska won 3 National titles and Oklahoma won 1 National title and ksu only won 1 Big 12 title.

Living in Manhattan I've put up with your bandwagon fans, and I've laughed at them.  I also felt bad for LHC Bill Snyder when he retired the first time.  You guys couldn't even sell out that game because your team at the time I believe was 4-7 and your season was done.  Hell I went to that game out of respect for the old man because of what he did.

Your fan base has no idea what it's thinking as I've pointed out.  Now yes I know those are only 2 examples but I know it's all over the place.  KSU isn't a power in anything.  Not football, not basketball, nothing except for being an Ag school.  Which is fine, that's what you do and what you're good at but don't think you're more or that any one else thinks your more than that.  Ksu is a middle tier athletic school that isn't getting looked at by the SEC or PAC 12 or even the Big East w/o being teamed with KU.

I'm not saying this to be an ass, but to tell it how an outsider sees it.    Trust me more people see it how I see it than how your guys see it.

Great work GBR (A AOT fan . . . AOT ='s Afraid of Texas), you're a Corn/AOT fan who truly "gets it".

Welcome and please continue posting.

I'll ask again, how is helping our athletic program and our university as a whole and being in the stable Big 10 a bad thing?
We're making more money and we know the future of the Big 10.   The Big 12-3 is falling apart as we speak.

GBR thank you for posting and I agree with you that this site is one of the most delusional there is. The powercat is probably not even in the top 3 nationally and while we probably are a powerhouse in football given our recent Big XII title we haven't reached powerhouse status yet in basketball imo. A couple more runs in the tournament though and that could change. Please keep posting and welcome to the board.

So just so I get this right, and I'm not trying to flame or anything, but you're saying that the powercat is more popular than (in any order): The "U" from Miami, the "O" from Ohio st,  the Gater from Florida, the SC symbol from USC, the Hook em from Texas, the Numbers on the side of the helmet from Alabama, the red N from Nebraska, or Michigan's helmets which are often considered the best in college football?  I only ask this because you said "probably not even in the top 3 nationally" meaning you think they could be.   All of those are symbols one way or another from power house schools full of tradition and that I believe are more known the the "powercat".   Yes i could be wrong but I wanted to check it with you first.

Have fun in the MWC you idiots.  Here is a direct quote from one of your posters in another thread:

"what makes me kind of nervous is that we have the second most recognizable mascot in all of sports.  everyone knows that when they see the powercat, that k-state is coming lynch mob style.  hopefully they don't think the stupid terroristhawk is coming right behind us, even though no one really recognizes the terroristhawk."

What a joke that is.  No one outside of Big 12 schools will think of "wildcats" as ksu, it'll be Kentucky.   You guys should be happy if you get to ride KU's coat tail to the Big east.  There you'll be a top 4 football team year in and year out.  If you go to the SEC you'll be lucky to make a bowl game just like you're lucky if you do that now.

Here is another quote from user of this site:

"I think being a two sport powerhouse gives us the edge over some of these other schools."

How are you a power house in any sport?  How many Big12 titles do you have this past decade in anything?  1?   KU and Texas are the only power houses in Basketball and you guys in the past 5 years have been to what, 2 bowl games?  GTFO with your power house crap.

Yeah, we are kind of scared of Texas too.  We want to run away also.

Yep that's exactly what we did.  So scared that it got us in a secure place, with a very good TV deal that will get us on more National games which will only help our recruiting.  Plus not just our athletics but our University as a whole will be making more money this way and everyone knows money runs everything.

Horrible move on our part.   It's so much better not knowing what's going to happen next week or next month or next year. Right?

can you give me the name of poster who made that quote?  He/she is not representative of this message board or its members and I would like to censure them.

The "what makes me kind of nervous......" quote is from the user "pissclams" and the "two sport powerhouse" is from the user "WildcatNkilt".

Bama- aside from their redneck hayseed fans' meltdowns on You Tube I really don't see much to do about these hayseeds.  And they can't even pronounce the name of their team, "Buma" - wtf is that crap?  I never liked Gene Stallings much either, goofy looking Aggie.  They do have some national prestige but not much outside of Alabuma.  I'll put them as Honorable Mention Potential Rival.

Also, do we have anything that we care about dearly that some crazy 'bama fan might try to poison after we destroy them year after year?  What if they got our meat goats?
omg i forgot about that.  what kind of redneck hayseed knows how to poison a tree

Pretty good list.  I would ad that I've heard of both Ole Miss and Miss State though.  Miss State also has bulldogs and Peyton Manning played at Ole Miss.
forgot about manning at ole miss.  true story, when he got drafted by the colts i knew he wasn't going to be any good but then he got good so i was eating crow.  sorry "peyton"  lol at his name

Tennessee.

what about them?
Don't know if you two are just effing around, but Peyton played at Tennessee. His sack of crap brother played at Ole Miss.

Eli played at Troy, Peyton was Ole Miss bro

Gotcha.

Even joking around, which I truly hope you guys are doing, this little discussion is full of so much fail.  It's not even funny
