Billy Tubbs would have probably called the defectors mother fuckers on live television multiple times by now.

the first emaw game i actually remember going to as a kid, tubbs sent a player in to push one of our players and he got an intentional foul, tubbs went off and got 2 t's and booted from the game.  that game really cemented my hate for OU for life.

1. Somebody who would reduce the size of our military to something manageable
2. Somebody who would legalize anything that doesn't directly harm other people (drugs, gay marriage, etc.)
3. Somebody who at least acknowledges that we have a shitty health care system
4. Somebody who will fix the federal pay grade so that valuable employees can be paid more and worthless employees can be replaced with cheaper help
5. Somebody who understands that there is a reason we left the gold standard and that it's a really bad idea to go back now
6. Somebody who is willing to expand nuclear power
7. Somebody who will reduce welfare benefits
8. Somebody who is willing to use the federal budget to fund large interstate projects (high-speed rail, interstate system, pipelines, canals, etc.)
9. Somebody who will stop allowing companies who ship jobs overseas to write off their taxes paid overseas from their federal taxes.
10. Somebody who realizes that businesses creating huge environmental disasters would be a bigger problem than the EPA regulating businesses

We aren't disagreeing, you're operating under a false premise, that electric cars are the only long term viable solution to personal transportation needs.

link?

make  :jerk: statements about what i think, i'll do the same about what you think.

64161
yeah, sometimes is makes more sense in my head than written down.   :embarrassed:

electric is a possible solution.  not the only one.

most likely, the best solution hasn't even been discovered yet, though hydrogen would be amazing.

you think we shouldn't even be researching anything, which seems like the stupidest course of action.

64164
yeah, the local dallas news needs a little more fear-mongering and hate speech like your beloved no name right wing bloggers.

good thing oil will be around forever and electric cars will never become affordable.

jesus christ you are so short sighted.

You've given up on the nuclear skateboard and the .  Jeez, talk about short sighted  :nono:

Meh, 7 is right, we should all willfully overpay for a car that goes 35 miles in anticipation of oil running out, some day.  Clearly it takes the mandate of government to get past all this short sightedness, as evidenced by its long-term, far-sighted policies such as deficit spending, new/bulletproof entitlement programs, and no budget fiscal gross negligence . . .

once again you completely side step anything i'm talking about.

i've never said everyone should be made to buy electric cars, or that the volt is some amazing machine.  i know nothing about the volt except what you have posted on it, and yeah it sounds pretty terrible.    but you view this bad car as proof that the government shouldn't be helping companies develop electric as a viable alternative.  you act like everything should be perfect all the time.  obviously this is a difficult problem, and i hardly think cutting funding to anyone trying to solve it would help.

the first nuclear plant since the 70's is already under construction, or is about to be.  i saw a piece about it a few weeks ago on the news.  which is a good thing imo.  they are 3 or 4 nuclear plant "generations" ahead in europe and asia, and have made them extremely safe now.

i guess where we differ here though, is i don't place number 1 priority on continuing fossil fuels, and instead would prefer we develop alternative energies primarily.  and i have no problem with the government helping that along.

but also that show sounds pretty awesome, i'll have to remember to watch it.

So I just started watching Entourage. Had never seen it. Oh man Johnny Drama.

Where have you been the past 7 years?

No HBO. Now watching all seasons on HBO GO (what an app).

How are you watching HBO GO without HBO?  Borrowed log-in?  I gave me log in out to a few people and they were always logged in and I couldn't get it, very annoying had to change the password.

Unrelated but GCB is boring, should not be an hour long.

I meant I didn't have HBO before. Still have never watched The Sopranos either.

you should do that instead of entourage.

64174

taken today at the topeka best buy.

64175
Entourage was decent for the first few seasons, after 3 or 4 I think it was, it gets pretty meh.
