I got a very nice two-piece luggage set(the wheel on type of carry on).  Works great for the two to three day trips.

Other than that, I permanently borrowed a nice Canon scanner when I quit my first job.

In downtown KC, I used to go to Cellar Rat(on Baltimore iirc, around 18th st.).  They are small, but have a decent selection and seem to know quite a bit.

In NKC, Gomers used to be pretty good too.  Knew their crap.

Mondavi is a good solid Cab.  Depending where you buy it, you can get it for $14-$18/ bottle

I also like Wolf Blass.  Red label.  They have a blend of Shiraz/Cab that is pretty good.  Around $20per.

I would buy a couple diff types in the above cost ranges until I found a few I like.  Doing this will also help you find a few tastes you don't like/do like.

I call BS on the "I was 6' in second grade". 

I am 6'-5" and was 5' in 3rd grade(still by far and away the tallest in my class at that time).  I don't remember when I wasn't the tallest in my grade.

No way unless he was 12 yrs old while in 2nd grade.

I got mine because I used to go to small coffee houses often(trying things other than Starbucks).  Whenever I found one I liked a lot, I asked them how they brewed.  100% said french press.
