Nobody remembers the hullabaloo teams K-State beat while Snyder was piling up 6-7 wins in the 90s and early 2000s. Either play SEMO 3 times or you might as well get credit for losing to a powerhouse. Playing CMU, Memphis, Ohio, etc. right now is useless.

Hmm, that's funny.  I seem to remember a bunch of 11-win seasons.  Perhaps my memory is fading.

Getting hosed by the refs at home against Central Michigan and are playing too bad to overcome it. That's where we are as a program.

Welcome to goEMAW's safe zone, SdK.  You're good enough; you're smart enough; and gosh darn it people like you!

What game would be do that for besides a natty? I can't think of one. Maybe an undefeated season and a big 12 champ

I bought a football in 2002 that commemorated LHC Bill Snyder's "First 100 Wins", and it lists out all 100 wins on it with the scores I think.  I'm not sure if they are doing or have done one for his 200th win or the "next 100 wins", but I would buy that to sit next to the first one.

From the Raider Power board:

The guy is just incredible!!! Wish KK could get a mentorship going with him.

Now I know Bill is all about mentoring youth, but I'm not sure he personally wants to mentor a rival school's coach.

Quote
^^^^ This.  I was telling the wife and kids last night if I was KK, after national signing day, I would spend every waking moment in Manhattan, learning at the feet of the master, and I feel certain that Snyder would make time and impart his wisdom upon young Kliff.  We all talk about Saban and Meyer but I think without a doubt Snyder is the best college football coach in this generation.  If folks will just admit it, it is more difficult to do what Snyder has done at KSU than what they have done at their respective schools.

He can spot raw talent, coach it up along with transferring those skills to his other coaches. It's incredible what this man does with 2-star recruits and a bunch of JUCO's. Has he ever finished with a top 25 recruiting class?

Well pencil in KSU as a lose for us next year.

Do we have anything like this? If not, this needs to be a priority.

Brilliant! Let's come up with 17 goals!!!

We used to have a coach who owned LHC Bill Snyder. Administrators decided we could do better....

Stupid F@ggies! LOLOLOLOLOL

They play a bowl game in Houston this year and lose, yet when they had the chance to play Tech in Houston last year they said it was too close to College Station. Pi$$ off agholes, you are no better in the SEC than in the Big 12, you are an embarrassment and perennial underachievers.

There is no other coach in the country who could have lost this game for A&M.  KSU's avg. recruiting rank over the last fiver years #63.  A&M #12.  No excuses.  A&M's #3's should beat this ****ty team.

Just like last year's bowl game.  One TD away from winning the damn game.

The most impressive thing about McCarney IMO is not going 9-3, it's 7-7. How in the literal eff.

Eddie Robinson Classic participants could have a 14 game schedule...we did in 2000.  Iowa State had a 7-6 record before losing their bowl game in 2002.

Ah, I thought that was '03 for us but makes sense.

KSU had a 14-game schedule in 2000 and a 15-game schedule in 2003.  The difference was that 2000 had an 11-game regular season and 2003 had a 12-game regular season.  So then add a bowl game, conference championship game, and the "classic" game  (2000 Eddie Robinson Classic / 2003 BCA Classic).  The 12-game regular season did not become standardized until 2006, and all of the "classic" games were done away with.  But oddly enough in 2002 and 2003 college football had a 12-game regular season I think due to how the calendar played out because the games could all be finished by a certain date.  Correct me if I'm wrong on that.  Anyway, Iowa State had the "classic" game and bowl game in 2002, but no conference championship game.

When Klein didn't win I lost all respect for the award.

Even though Manziel had better numbers across the board? Bishop and Sproles we're much bigger ripoffs.
IIRC, A&M had a pretty light schedule that year, outside of the 'Bama upset, and all those big numbers came from their powderpuff non-con.  If someone can find it, i thought K-State pulled the numbers versus ranked (or top 50?) opponents, and comparing those numbers to Manzels blew Johnny out of the water.

The turnovers is what lost CK7 the Heisman

6 TOs over 8 games is fewer per game than 5 TOs over 4 games.   :Chirp:

Sweet!  I'm happy you guys beat CU.  Good luck the rest of the season!

The Hawks hadn't beat Texas since 1938?!

Sort of misleading. 1938 was also the last time they played each other before the Big 12 formed in 1996.

Yeah, it is sort of misleading, but still, that's a long time one way or another.
How is this misleading?  Is there a large number of people unaware that KU and Texas weren't in the same conference prior to 1997?

I was unaware of that.  I thought they were a part of the same conference in 1996.  Silly me.

If KU Football were a hedge fund, a case could easily be made that it has duped millions out of money and should possibly be considered a ponzi scheme.

I think Mitch Holthus said something like "if a tie is like kissing your sister, then K-State's sister is Cindy Crawford while Colorado's sister is Roseanne Barr."

Farmageddon guys!

Looks like ISU had an extremely hellish YPP yesterday.  Glad we overcame that.

Nothing says "big pond" like Lawrence, KANSAS

What's funny is that the analogy is flawed anyway.  The "pond" would be the conference you are playing in, and the particular school would be what size fish you are.  But he's referring to K-State as if it's the whole pond, lol.

Playing second fiddle to KSU for in state recruits is our own fault, as they have ZERO natural advantages over us.

So it's our fault that they hired a HOF warlock who was content with staying in the small pond his whole life? I guess.

So they say all the "we werent playing you guys why do you have your band making a jayhawk on the field?" (Which i wondered myself)to we "planted a mole to make sure they lose"? What a weird rough ridin' group of idiots
remember when they tore down goalposts for a royals win?

I remember when we tore down their goalposts in 1994 after a KSU win in Lawrence.   :D

Can someone make purple t-shirts with Zhengers face  on it to wear to KU game?

Quote
From what I can tell, the strategy is to suck **** and embarrass the university as much as possible.  KSU pretty proud that they were able to get one of their own to come in and ruin the program.

I don't know about you guys, but I'm very proud of what we've been able to accomplish here.  :gocho:

This guy has it all figured out....

This team is not close, and getting further away. Beaty is not the answer, but it's not his fault. It is Zenger's fault for running this f@cking program into the ground, finishing the job that Lew started. Zenger came in here as a KSU plant with one goal - to f@ck our football program so that we are a complete laughingstock and end up in the Mountain West.
