Dunno if Jerry Tarkanian could pull off that Vegas magic in MHK, but definitely worth a shot.  Understands MCMW, pay for play, and he may or may not have mafia connections.  Also, his teams managed to put the orange round thing in the basket, which is always a plus.  We obviously wouldn't be scared off by his age...

I thought the key play was when KSU's leading rebounder, the 6'4" Gruds snatched a his only rebound, then ran out of bounds.

How does a 37 year old die of a heart attack (on a Friday night)?

Ya but we had no bigs. Colon and Kent were our starters down low that year.

That just doesn't sound nearly as bad as it used to...
Darren Kent's senior year: 9.0 ppg 5.8 rpg 23 mpg 1.8 tpg
Curtis Kelly's senior year: 9.8 ppg 4.4 rpg 22 mpg 2.9 tpg

So you're telling me you'd rather have Darren Kent than Curtis Kelly? GMAFB

No, but it would be nice if '10-'11 Curtis Kelly played more like '09-'10 CK.

yeah, the Big XII tourney, that's what we should be worrying about right now............

With a miraculous run we could use the Big XII tourney to get a 12 or 13 seed in the real tournament and become this year's adorable Valpo / George Mason / Northern Iowa.  :emawkid:

Even odds on a KSU +8.5 / UK -0.5 teaser.  Bodog acct's a little low now, just did $5 to win $5.

What are the results?  2 rounds at 32 players a round = 64 players (needs to be adjusted for foreign players).  Of the college players I would presume at least half are 5 stars and the other half 4 stars.

TIA

       # Drafted     Avg Position      College Exp
5-star   22              27.2              2.00
4-star   14              31.8              3.21
3-star   12              29.8              3.17
2-star    4               24.3              3.25

               # Drafted    Avg. position     Avg. Stars
Freshman       10               20.7             4.9
Sophomore     12               24.6             4.3
Junior             14               25.0             3.6
Senior            17               41.2             3.5

Thanks, where was this?

Just because a player wasn't drafted into the NBA doesn't necessarily mean he wasn't a great college player. Look at Clemente and Jon Scheyer. The reverse is also true.

I had nothing to do this morning and was interested, couldn't find it anywhere so I just did the research.  Its just for the 2010 draft since it turned out to be more time consuming than I thought.  Would be interesting to correlate stats with stars, since draft position doesn't necessarily have much to do with college performance.  That info is probably out there somewhere though.

Bet Frank is pissed they put Asprilla's name on his jersey instead of Potuzak's.

Worse than that, Potuzak has his name on his jersey now too.  Also, today's cheers for him were at an embarrassingly high level...

K-State's Friday practice must have been a doozy. That, apparently, is the reason we won't be seeing Freddy Asprilla again.

My source on the team said they practiced 8 hours on Thursday.

If so, we better get a lot better at covering up violations.

Pretty sure that while school isn't in session the number of practice hours allowed in a week is much more relaxed...

Butler (-6) at Detroit made me money tonight.

Thoughts on K-State (-12) for tomorrow??????

I didn't get on the Cats until it was -13.5, but I'm glad I did.

Does this mean we don't have to give him minutes anymore? Only thing we'll miss is 5 extra fouls...

Wally played in both those games dumb dumb
That was "recovering from personal problems" Wally not "precursor to honorable mention all big 12" Wally.  Totally different people.

Did anyone else notice that he played for 2 minutes earlier in the second half?  ESPN.com doesn't even list him as having played...
