Kansas State Football / Can we claim the National Championship
« on: November 17, 2012, 11:43:02 PM »
If we beat Texas, win our bowl game and ND loses?

We have every right to it as the other 1 loss teams? ND was going to make National Champion rings if they were left out so why can't we if we are left out and no undefeated teams are in?

Rings
Trophy
Banners
Pictures
Front page add in the Mercury, Topeka Journal and KCStar?
Car Fires
Riots
etc

Kansas State Football / Cant believe we lost to that crap ass program
« on: January 07, 2012, 01:08:31 AM »
Arkansas would be the 4th or 5th best team that we faced and we choked. (OSU, BU, OU, MU are better...ISU might be better.) Completely went into the game thinking it was a freaking division II school and thought we had it in the game. B Smith and Harper might as well have stayed in Manhattan. Our Oline missed the trip. Our freaking whole special teams unit might has well have stayed there as well save Guidry. The refs that missed obvious blocks in the back on that return should return back to Arkansas where they came from. And Snyder you and your whole coaching staff failed. When Cosh out coaches you fucksticks then you might want to start looking for new work.

Jerome Tang Coaches Kansas State Basketball / Next coach?

Who ya got? I'm tired of frank pissing down his leg in AFH. It effects the team. I've moved on.  :peek:

22-9, 8-8 (assuming they lose to KU) Respectable RPI (30's) SoS 50's. Seems Solid, amiright?

Breaking down their OOC schedule13-1 (1-0 away):
3-1 against Top 50 RPI Lost one neutral court, beat 3 at home.
0 against 50-100 RPI
4-0 against 100-200 (141 Oregon only road game) Other teams, 143, 172, 184 RPI's.
6-0 against 200-340

Committee looks at road wins...quality that is. There lone one isn't even a freaking average road win. NO marquee win in the OOC. 3 Quality wins OOC.

Conference Schedule 8-8 most likely
Home games:
W-71 Nebraska
W-21 KSU
W-129 ISU
W-81 CU
W-142 OU
W-160 TTech
W- 77 BU
TBD- KU

Road games:
L-81 CO
L-30 aTm
L-14 TX
L-53 OSU
L-1 KU
W-129 ISU
L-21 KSU
L-71 NU

1-7 on road (129 ISU) . 1-4 top 50. 3-3 50-100. 3-100+

If they don't win against KU, they will finish with no staple type wins. They also have nothing close to a quality win on the road. How are they considered a lock? Is the field THAT bad? How the cac did they manipulate their RPI?

Jerome Tang Coaches Kansas State Basketball / More Impressive
« on: March 03, 2011, 11:32:03 AM »
Honest question. I think a certain team's 7 Big XII Champ's should have an * on some of their trophies. 3 (possibly 4 depending on how this season ends) they haven't won it outright. In fact, one could argue, all of them should have a * since they we're won with an unbalanced schedule. Don't get me wrong, it's still very impressive, I just want to see damn *'s on all their banners/tshirts that read "7 time Big XII Champ"

I think we are better, by far. Scary better. Big XII Champ better. FF better. National Champ better!

PG: Pullen is the biggest question mark but he shouldn't be. Our offense slowed with Clemente out but I don't know if that was because of Pullen or because Pullen didn't have many offensive options to pass to? He's a much more consistent scorer. Very good passer. Dramatic improvement defensively.

SG: McGruder, I think he will be better than Pullen at SG when it's all said and done. He's got more of a rounded game. Much bigger player. Sweet stroke and a very good rebounder from the 2 position

SF: Samuels. Personally, I think it's an upgrade. Samuels is better offensively than Sutton could ever dream about. He's a good rebounder, maybe not AS good...but then again, he's going to be a junior. Defensively, It's a downgrade but Sutton was living off defensive hype these last 2 years IMO. Samuals will be better because he's been playing out of position at PF and much more suited for SF.

PF: Kelly. He played amazing at times and was out of position last year. He will flat out dominate at PF. I can't WAIT to see him unleashed.

C: Asprilla. Even if he's not cracked up to be 1 and done after his transfer here (HAHAHA) he will still be a HUGE upgrade. Even if adds just a tiny bit of offense it will be an upgrade.

Bench
Russell- I don't that he didn't get a chance last year. He's got potential to be special for us. Look for big things this year from the bench. THANK GOD he's not the one that's transferring....IMO
Myles- Who knows...I remember blake young too much to get excited. But who knows
Spradling- Serviceable backup or red shirt possibility?
Southwell- I'm cautiously excited about this guy...he is a frosh.
Judge- Can't wait to see his improvement. He's going to be a monster off the bench. Wonder if he could split time backing up SF ( a very tall and long SF) as well since that's where our depth is hurt by Sutton
JHR- Showed promise...I'm a big JHR. Hopefully he can add weight.

Nino Williams possiblity still alive???
Lawrence Grey Shirt possibility?

Kansas State Football / All this posturing?

I don't *know*, but I did hear...
This is all nothing but a huge posturing move by NU. Currie had a meeting this morning with the coaches to tell them to "Not believe anything you hear in the next couple of days. It will all come out in the wash".

Apparently, NU doesn't like UT "taking over" the football side of the conference, and they are posturing this to get the championship game yanked from being "permanent" in TX.

One thing I asked was, "Do you think some of this has to do with the TV negotiations that are coming up?" And the answer was, "Certainly can't hurt. Think of the new rivalries and story lines created in the last couple of days."

I know everyone has their "he said/she said" radar up and running right now, so this was my "she said" that I'll throw out there. (and "she" hasn't been wrong in feeding me info in the past)

Take it for what it's worth.

From Powercat46...reputable poster

Kind of what I was thinking when all of this really started.

I could see MU whoring themselves out because their MU and won't EVER get respect in this conference. NU though? I can't see them leaving. Just can't. I totally see them using this to get back at TX and get some power pulled from TX.

TX, knows are TV contract is garbage and puts out all this information to 1. Call Nebraska's bluff and 2. Get this conference a better TV deal...that makes it more enticing for teams to stay/back fill MU/CU.

TX and definitely the rest of the south want NO part of the PAC 10. Money wouldn't be too much different with this new TV deal but the difference would be eaten up alive by travel costs. Fans definitely don't want to travel to California/Washington/Oregon to games when they'd rather drive north to games. Game times are very late in the Midwest with the 2 hour difference...who wants to stay up until 1 or 2 to watch football/Bball games? Does TX/OU want to be second fiddle to USC/Oregon or even with at best? Think it was hard to get to a Championship game with the Big XII? Wait till you have those power 3(4) to get to BCS Championship. They currently have BSC 1 slot but likely apply for 2 if this did come to fruition. The NCAA could easily tell them F* off because they are eventually trying to screw the NCAA big time and the rest of the BCS process by starting the 4 super conferences.

This is all a ploy...the ONLY news source on this has been Orangebloods.com, who have been feeding ESPN and other media outlets. It's just like Fitz saying, "It's Patterson"....it's not happening. News out of Omaha tonight gives us a ray of hope. Coaches have NOT been told they are leaving, as was reported from Omaha (and even UT). Osborne was in Omaha, not Lincoln today. The Reagents HAVE NOT Voted on this. They've discussed adding the conversation to the table friday which contradicts what Orangebloods.com reports. NO one has said that offers have been given, Nebraska is denying it, and it's basically completely being fed by Orangeblood.com (TX mouthpiece).

This time next week, the Big XII will be thriving. New FAT TV Contract. Little less power from TX. NU fans and MU fans grobbling for forgiveness...mostly the MU Fans. A lot of NU fans, respectable NU fans don't want any part of the Big 10.

Butler wouldn't beat anybody in the BIG XII except Nebraska. They are an awful, awful team that had to have every star aligned to have a chance in this game.

Physically and Mentally exhausted KSU team from a BS double OT game: Check
Star PG injured: Check
Uncharacteristic 3point game (this year): Check
Terrible officiating: Check
JamSam having his worse game of his career: Check
Terrible uninspired rebounding due to being tired: Check

Yet all we had to do is hit a freaking FT or stop getting greedy at the end from Clemente and Pullen when they could have worked it inside...especially Clemente when McGruder was driving to the lane.

shazbot! that fracking terrible Butler team. We'd beat them 10 times out of 10 if we played them without playing that Xavier game. I wouldn't have minded losing to a decent team, but freaking BUTLER???!!! They are worse than UNI. shazbot!!!!

second rate JV team. These guys are freaking awful yet we are playing so lackadaisical...reminds me of the Iowa State game.
