Classic Joe. Long and deep. Very good though.

he forgot the molestation.  you'd think he'd have learned.
"a garden city man wondered in april if the theologians had not made a mistake in locating the garden of eden in asia rather than in the arkansas river valley."

I never get tired of reading articles that retell this story.  I was there in '86-'90 and the transformation of K-State football is one of my most favorite things in all the world.  Parents everywhere should read this  to their kids at bedtime and the world would be a much better place.
I was born kicking and screaming and covered in someone else's blood.  I have no trouble going out the same way.

While Kansas was beating up Kansas State in 2008, a Kansas State graduate ran into LHC Bill Snyder in the press box. The grad had a look of disgust on his face. Snyder pulled him aside. Snyder’s look was granite and will.

Snyder growled: “Look at me. OK? We’re going to turn this around.”

Three weeks later, LHC Bill Snyder became head coach at Kansas State again.
Looks like that win hurt them more in the long run.
I once blew clove smoke in a guy's face that cut in front of me in the line to KJ's.

Would not have pegged LHC LHCBS as a growler.  Also not someone who would want face-to-face, sustained eye-contact with a rando unless it was a staring contest.

Angry cussing, sure.  Motivational growling to a rando?  Not really.  Just seems like he'd be more reassuring to the young man in that scenario.  More composure.

he stared at me once.  i can't recall that he vocalized anything, but he had the look of a growl.  had a very mean vibe.
