This pretty much needs to be put in place Monday morning.  If I remember right, Pete, weren't you supposed to have at least a week's notice?

I say we have some sort of "WATER IS CALM" variation on it.

Ya, there is a bit more to it, but you have like a 2 week window to call it off...but you have to schedule it more than two weeks in advance.

I should note that I am not in favor of capping OB until we secure the final approval/plans of the West side expansion....let's use the old powertards for the one thing they are good for.

this really seems like something that Nebraska fans would do.

this isn't Bill Callahan folks.  even if it's his time, a banner is counter-productive.

Did you notice his recruiting?  If LHC Bill Snyder recruits as well as Art Bryles, we'll be fine, but that ain't going to happen.  Jimmy's and Joe's...that what VK used to say.

Right, but with a big check from BSAC, they can make it happen I'm sure.

I should note that I am not in favor of capping OB until we secure the final approval/plans of the West side expansion....let's use the old powertards for the one thing they are good for.

I don't expect that the threat of a banner will accomplish nearly what it did in the RP scenario, but it'd be nice to at least plant the seed.  :dunno:

So, at the minimum, it shows serious dissatisfaction with the current group of coaches.  Now, let's hear why you're so against the idea.  Other than it doesn't do anything to promote people getting cancer.

Outside of my cancer love?  Man.  Hard to think of a good reason.  It's like a political bumper sticker.  No one will change their minds and people will end up rallying around the coaches.  It will backfire.  Have you EVER changed your mind about ANYTHING because of a banner or bumper sticker?

I really doubt many people will be "rallying" around the coaches if we continue to field the same product we've seen the past couple of weeks.  Of course there are going to be the Snyder and Co. die hards who will blindly ride the ship all the way down.  But, there are also quite a few people who fall in the middle.  Those are the people who like banners.

Limestone, if Cancer asked Cartier to give him a steamer, do you think he would do it, or do you think he would refuse 'cause he knows he wouldn't ever be able to shake the mental image of Cancer being a huge whore and he just loves Cancer too much to risk that?

Since OBZ clearly wouldn't be able to read a sign in the sky due to his advanced age and likely poor vision, wouldn't this be leaving it to chance that whoever had to tell bill what it said would say something like "umm it said here is to another ten years LHCBS".

I would welcome such an event, because, as you put it, I'm a cancer lover, since I'm not of the belief that pink sweat bands worn by the Green Bay Packers actually DO anything for breast cancer.

Obviously, Pink "save the ta-tas" T-Shirts and pink baseball bats used in MLB are single handedly bringing down the cancer rate 22% by the day.

Fly your banner, it'll "wake up the fanbase"

Concerned about the night game next week.  When will a banner be flown when it is seen by many people.  Game wouldn't have started by 6:15 but warmups will have and there will be some in the stadium and many will be at tailgates.

The timing of the flyover would work out fine.  I think law mandates it's done 1.5 - 2 hours before gametime.  The plan would be for it to make passes over both sides of tailgating.

Banners cost around $1500 depending on who you know.

Texas fans flew a banner to fire Greg Davis today at the Baylor Game stating: "Greg Davis in not our Standard"

I'm in favor of the banner... what could it hurt? It's not like Currie is going to look at the banner and think, "Eff these fans and their effing banners!" and walk into OBz's office and ink an extension for his old ass. You'd have to be completely effing delusional to think Currie isn't seriously considering axing OBz at the end of this season.

I think a large majority of "the middle" will lean KSATEO if pushed.  It's the most vocal majority.  It's all they know, and god forbid they actually think about it.

What makes you think this?  Cosh is one thing but Currie's not axing Snyder.

You realize we've lost to 3 top 25 teams right?  We should still have a higher standard but that should be noted.

What makes you think this?  Cosh is one thing but Currie's not axing Snyder.

You realize we've lost to 3 top 25 teams right?  We should still have a higher standard but that should be noted.

Snyds will never be fired.  Just won't happen.  Whether it is his choice to re-retire is update for debate.

Well, I was using the old "OBz isn't Currie's guy" mentality - I am going to hope that something drastic happens though. I am just tired of thinking that we are playing not to lose every game.
