What should we expect tonight? Tang and Co should have a chance if we can avoid long stretches of ineffective offense.
Looking forward to watching with one of my lil croppings live in the OOD.
Cats!

DON’T TURN THE BALL OVER

Have 20-0 runs, but don't let them get rebounds on missed FTs
-
A win would help us when it comes to getting into the "Big Dance".
-
I think we either play a tight one and win by 3 or less, or we will get absolutely boat raced. I’m struggling to see any other outcomes. I do hope I’m wrong. Would love to see us have an 8 pt lead late in the game and, ya know, not blow it
-
I need to see more of our nearly 7 foot desk athlete run protector tonight
-
Baylor ML +110. Wut? Metrics say Baylor gonna smoke em.
-
Rape Aggie gonna be a tough out
-
Seems pretty decent so far
-
Plus/minus on McNair is gonna be rough in this game (same for KU)
-
I think I'm bad luck for Cam. It seems like every time I get to watch him, he turns the ball over or misses a layup. I know he's pretty good, but I rarely get to see it. Yes I know that's not really true.
-
Tang sure knows how to talk to kids.
-
Bricks for Sticks!!!!
-
Lol at Wyattvision losing it over Sandstorm
-
Finister being our alley oop guy is wild but damn he's good at it
-
Got to bring this home.
-
We really need to find a way to offensively involve cam and finister more.
-
Best student section in the conference is live.
-
I appreciate what Mr NYC gave us more and more every game this year.
-
Tang likey
-
Welp here's where we wilt
-
Where did Tylor Perry get the reputation for being some 3-point sharpshooter?
-
Half-court offense has gone missing.
-
Good effort, but got to score and can't make 16 turnovers and give up critical offensive rebounds.
-
k-state (not a very good team), didn’t play very well against baylor (very good team) who also didn’t play very well.
i’m fine with the offensive problems, we just don’t have much firepower, but the rebounding effort has been consistently bad
-
carter looks pretty good, imo.
-
Well Baylor is mumped, it's OT
-
I can't take it.
-
We fight so hard. Just really challenged offensively
-
Welp, dont see how we pull this out now
-
Perry is struggling out there.
-
Did all Freshmen quit?

GUYS!
-
stole this win, thanks refs and luck
-
Like at this point, the OT thing for Tang is incredible.
-
You don't go to OT against Jerome Tang. You just don't.
-
Man, if they had held on vs TT they'd be in first by themselves
-
Yeeeeeaaaaaahh baby!
Tournament is back on the menu boys
-
Love these guys. Dealt a tough hand, but fight to the death
-
:Woohoo:
-
Like at this point, the OT thing for Tang is incredible.
It’s always such a meaningless stat to me in the moment and then after we win I’m like, heck yeah we’re awesome in OT.
-
Man, if they had held on vs TT they'd be in first by themselves
That ball ain’t gonna bounce your way in every close game, especially on the road.
-
I bought tickets for the KU game next month early on, gonna be rough ridin' rocking
-
What an absolute smash and grab theft that we just pulled off. No idea how that happened.
-

For sure, just would love to live in that fantasy through at least this weekend vs OSU.
Regardless 9 wins is very possible
-
Oh hello quad 1 W numero uno
-

I don't think they are built for the road, or that game (ku). Okie State is very bad so not counting that
-
Hey Scott Drew - your team is down by 2 in a game your have no business losing based on talent, you're 5 for eleventy billion on 3s this game, shooting close to 50 percent on 2s, absolutely destroying the other team o-rebounding, killing them damn near every time you drive in the lane and the other team's best player and perimeter defender already fouled out.
Whatcha gonna do on your last major possession? Not gonna use either of your timeouts and let your guys jack up another 3?
Okay!
-
I love tang so much

The 'cats get all the calls. It's shameful.
-
Tang likes winning in OT almost as much as he likes singing and dancing in our student section.
-
I'm still in shock that he single handedly eliminated the "eff KU" chant.
I was in Dallas for the big12 (football )championship last year and it was being enthusiastically chanted to any random song in the bars after we won.
1 year later and our basketball has completely eliminated it from sandstorm and we don't even rush the floor after beating a top 10 team at home.
-
I gave up on this game about 5 times. Glad the Tang Gang never gave up!

Crowd intimidating Baylor to 9-19 from the line was big.

Just got back from a freaking fun night at the 'gon.
So happy for Coach Tang and proud of the team for gutting out the win despite not doing all the things they needed to do to win.
We really need to to run more efficient half court offense. Dribbling out the shot clock only to have Perry take a stepback three with a 6'5" guy in his face is terrible offense. Cam and Kaluma are capable of slashing to the basket. Got to run offense where all five guys are a somewhat credible threat to score.

Rate the crowd. On the tube, it sounded insame at times and one of better ones in recent years, certainly for a non-KU crowd on a weeknight.

The best part of this win was we basically played like crap for most of the game and still beat the #9 team in the country.

We played like crap on the offensive end but were scrappy and effective on defense. Since they started to gel in December, the Cats have become a damn good defensive team. It's an area they are better than last year.
-
This was a game we needed two bodies that we don't have anymore :frown: . . . if we had them, we don't sweat this one out at all. Like cruise city . . .
Glad we were able to gut this one out.

I haven't been to a conference game in the OOD for over ten years. Best atmosphere I have experienced in the OOD. Slightly more energy than the Villanova game I was at last month. Not the sustained level of energy you would get for a KU game or Saturday conference game.

Dorian Finisher. Heck yeah.

not sure what sort of faustian bargain was struck in exchange for us digging this one out but, I'll take it!
-
Best atmosphere I've been a part of outside of a KU game. And that's with Drew calling a timeout everytime the crowd was getting involved, a la Self using all his timeouts in like, the first half during the game during Pullen's senior season.
-
I wasn't there, and it has been 13 years, but the win over Texas was the loudest I've ever heard the place (non-KU).
JANUARY 18, 2010 — 71-62 OVER NO. 1 TEXAS
Pete and I had a vuvuzela in Sec. 17.

That was a great game, I think I was able to get in the 6th row of the student section
-
i said earlier in this thread that we stole the win but i’m not going to let baylor off of the hook because we won. after the second half that they played, they certainly didn’t deserve the dub.

I court stormed, stepped on a folding chair, it folded, I went down in the storm. Struggled to my feet and ran right into weird robert. This is all on a hilarious iphone video

It was a lot more fun than the ku one in 2008, because of being so close, and less stress over just going to try and win the game vs the whole streak. It also took forever in 2008 to get from the 28thish row to the floor, despite waiting all day in line :dubious:
I know a lot of the lineup rules changes because of said ku game, once it got to like 2 hours before game time those who were just saving spots for everyone else got people, and then a bunch of people just rushed into the line, it was shitty, though the game was great to be a part of. So being that close for Texas felt like a proper spot for the time spent to get it.

that is a really great photo. esp considering if you didn't know the context it looks like the baylor guy just drained a 3 and he's excited about it and Art decided to lay down on the floor to watch for some reason

I've said it in other treads but whoever is doing photography and posting on the socials for our athletic dept is doing a phenomenal job.

2010 v #1 UT was more akin to 2002 v USC football , game and crowd-wise.
That Rodney dunk OMG!!!!!!!!

Can confirm, as I was there and distinctly remember the iCat section chanting "don't storm the court" to the GA section as they were preparing to go over the railing. The GA students ended up backing down (obviously).

My wife was 17 at the time (she was not, however, my wife at the time) and she didn't get the memo about not rushing the court. Her and like 12 people were escorted out.

ESPN even mentioned it on Sportscenter that night because there had been dozens of court stormings that year.
Edit to say ESPN mentioned that we elected to not storm the court*
