Hey all-
In the spirit of getting to know our opponent and having some fun, I joined your board. I will not be trolling or acting like a jerk, just want to talk some college football with everyone.
As a UM alum ('86) and longtime fan, I always find it interesting to see how other fan bases think and what they are talking about. While M fans are pretty much universally disappointed with our season, we are looking forward to playing your team in the Copper Bowl. (I know, but I hate corporate sponsorship names!) Our board is pretty good as well, and you would certainly be welcome. http://mgoblog.com/ Right now, the lead article is a fairly long breakdown of your team and season. Best of luck, especially with staying up as late as we'll need to in order to see the end of the game.
-
what's so amazing about it?

Thanks for visiting. I'm excited to play vs you guys.
My prediction: Cats-31 Spartans-23
-
Maybe it was the Copper Bowl last time Michigan was relevant, but get with the times buddy.
-
Do they have Buffalo Wild Wings in Lansing and if so, which one will you be pak'n at?
-
If you think I'm clicking on that link you have another thing coming... :shakesfist:

Ryan Mueller, a former walk-on out of Florida power St Thomas Aquinas who went from 14 tackles a year ago to 11.5 sacks this year.
-
I don't want to associate with any of these bankrupt, ice fishing hayseeds.
Michigan is basically Missouri with shittier weather.
-
dude, you misspelled your username.
-
Who the eff is this guy? I thought everyone left Michigan after 08.

AB, we have had other known Michigan fans tell us that the blog you listed as home is a complete crap show. Would you care to comment? I mean, you come here saying you don't want troubs but then you invite us all to come hang out at the absolute worst Michigan fan site on the internet. Doesn't seem very nice or good spirited. Seems like you are a bit of a fuckface to me :dunno:

Michigan is just a terrible fanbase in general. You're blaming the site for the fans.

Wow...that didn't go very well. Had no issues with South Carolina fans last year, but I guess this is a different group. No, the link is not a virus. Yes, it's a real site, and I happen to enjoy it, so I posted the link. If you don't want to visit, or don't enjoy it when you do, that's fine.

-
Pretty sure they fired a guy by the name of Ron English who was serially abusive
great name for a coach tho. Apparently they hired some tool booth operator from Pennsylvania as an interim coach tho idk
-
BTW, you guys do realize UM is in Ann Arbor, and we're the Wolverines, right?
You should post over on the basketball board too. We're big fans of Tom Izzo over here.

Who is QB at Michigan now? Big shoes to fill.
-
how much does it suck having to travel all the way from michigan? could you imagine? i thought going to 'zona from ks was bad, but seriously, starting up in the northeast corner of the us and travel thru all of new england then meth u or whatever comes next. would be surprised if more than 20 fans travel for michigan state.

Sorry, Amaizing Blue. This board is filled with a lot of idiots who don't know Michigan from Michigan State. The diehards on the board know who you are, though, and it should be a lot of fun playing a bowl game against one of our academic peers. I was horrified that we were going to get stuck with Nebraska.

That K-State breakdown is pretty good.
mgoblog is really good.
-
We're playing the late 90s/early 00s St. Louis Rams for all the BWWs? :Wha:
-
Amaizing Blue, are you planning on going to the game? What key matchups are you most interested in? How do you think the Michigan defense will hold up against the 4 or 5 plays where Daniel Sams plays at quarterback? Does your coach like anything cool, like Pinnochio, Taco Bell, or chocolate chip cookies?
-
That K-State breakdown is pretty good.
mgoblog is really good.
He's between Gardner and Denard as a runner, more elusive in small spaces than Gardner but not goddamned incredible.
In the air, dude wants to git it git it.
K-State wants to run the ball; when they are not forced into long yardage situations they will be 70-30 run. When they are not running the ball, they are trying to score right now. A good chunk of the 30% passes will be attempts to tear Michigan's face off with deep balls.
The Wildcat offense is misdirection running, misdirection running, misdirection running. Think Auburn or a super-sized high school.
At 6'2", 245, Mueller is strictly a DE/OLB type and could be vulnerable to donkeying by either tackle.
-
Also Amaizing Blue, do you think our backup QB, Jake Waters, is good enough to beat your Michigan Wolverines, or do you think Bill will have to put in the starter?
Is Wolverine your favorite X-Man, and does your answer to that question have anything at all to do with The University of Michigan?
-
welcome, Michigan guy! i'm excited about this match up! did you see my "Michigan fight song" thread? feel free to comment in it!

Your my boy blue. FYI, required reading for all new posters is the Arkansas image thread. Sorry you must have missed that during new poster orientation.

Getting out of Michigan is every Michiganers dream

God dammit Trim.
Well Played...

Oh wow. Jeb and Clep sound like dumbasses.
Make no mistake the Copper/BWW Bowl is an absolute MUST win. Unlike Husker fan who was as embarrassed as Michigan to play in an Alamo bowl, a win over a 7-5 Michigan is Mecca for K-Stater.
The unthinkable almost happened in 1998 when K-State was playing in the B12 championship game with an appearance for a National Championship on the line. The voice of purple little Kansas brother was unbearable because unlike Kansas, K-Stater and Mizzou have no idea how to win with dignity. That 1998 K-state team was upset by Texas A & M as Michael Bishop could have overthrown IRAQ that day and they would be further humbled by Drew Brees in the Alamo Bowl.
This is a big game for the locals and although this will be simply a merciful end to the football season for most of you on this board for those of us living in Kansas City this could be the trail of 1,000 tears as we listen to Jeb and Clep compare LHC Bill Snyder to Bo Schembechler through a wad of Skoal.
GOD SAVE OUR SOULS!

What kind of low rent blog are you running? Banned after 4 posts? The most offensive was telling fan to include more X's and O's in his offensive breakdowns because the Canadians in Detroit still speak French and don't like reading English.

OK, I'm back. I had to double-check because I thought I had accidentally wandered onto the Red Cedar Message Board, where Michigan State fans hang out. All of the profane name-calling because you're angry that everyone has a better life than you do-I figured it HAD to be the RCMB. But no, it's really Kansas State's board. I understand that you all have a lot of free time now, as the only big decision of your year ("Do I plant corn or wheat"?) is still months away. Still, I expected more dialogue about football, especially because I have so many questions about your team. For instance, I always forget if your coach played Dumbledore or Gandalf. I don't know which high schools are on your non-conference schedule next year. Does living in a state best known for having renowned psycho John Brown as a resident hurt recruiting? If you're driving through Kansas and fall asleep at, how many hours is it before you hit something? Anyway, looking forward to some good discussions, now that I'm in tune with the mood on the board... :)

the highschool team we play in non con next year is auburn. maybe you've heard of them as they are playing in this years national championship game. as for john brown, i'm not sure that i would call the most famous abolitionist of his time a "psycho" but then again i'm not a raging racist like most michiganders i've met.

This is the first time I've ever seen someone use this as a form of reply on the internet.

Not to mention the fact that the decision on whether to plant wheat needed to be made 2 or 3 months ago. A better analogy would be the decision of whether to plant corn, sorghum, or soybeans.

all I know about Meatchicken is that it's the land of 1000 lakes
That's not true, we are the crossroads of America. Home of Abe Lincoln, Bob Seger and Virtue. We were founded in 1946 under the watchful eyes of Cowboy Bob Orton, a former runaway slave turned Makhnovism politician who founded our great land on three key principles: Hustle, Loyalty and Semetism (pro jew).
We live quiet lives, our daily routines consist of snowmobiling to church or winter badminton in the snow. We take great pride in our shuttlecocks which we carefully hand paint during the children's festival of late August. In truth, we are a lot alike, our two great nations. One Purple, One Blue. I look forward to your God-King penciling us a thoughtful soliloquy after our match of American football.

I don't think a single thing you just typed is even true, other than that our coach is a God-King.

Hahaha....jokes on you. The wheat is already planted. Do you even farmhump, bro?
-
You would think someone with corn in their name would know a little more about farming
-
More like East Lancing Detroit state city college of Michigan
-
Why do they call yellow "maize"? Its like when teams call red "crimson". Don't church up your colors.

Not only did we get a shitty opponent for our bowl game, but easily the worst bbs'ing opportunities we've ever faced. WTF is wrong with these people?

I have enjoyed a couple slices of Cza so far ITT.
I have heard that West Lafayette is amazing in December with the 3' of snow and all, so I assume all of your Michigan Farmboy Friends will be staying at home to ensure that your homes don't get looted on your now mostly vacant block. Somebody has to run the bulldozers to clear out more "parkland" between the occupied homes now don't they?
-
Got to make allowances on the farming. Them Canadians don't plant the wheat don't do winter wheat. They have to wait to plant when it warms up. It just gets too cold up there in the Yukon and thereabouts.

It's true. I would also like to take a moment to distance ourselves from the mgoblog variety in this thread. When you picture your typical mgoblog poster, you must understand that they post between glasses of warm milk and updating their norton's antivirus suite on their Aptiva. They are led to arms by a hairy muppet of a man who's made a career of espionage and agenda, but they do occupy the 'at least they post there and not here' portion of our fan base and exist as such. I offer no quarter for them, do as you will.

Considering game time should be ending at 2:00 am on a Saturday, I'd say that's a fair assessment. I'm going to booze cruise all over the internet and regret it all in the morning. It is known.
