I'm told this movie is named the same as the one Bella doubled dipped on in the first twilight novel.  Bound to be a terrible movie inside a terrible franchise.

I read all four books, and 5 movies. I just didn't catch the connection.

Green lantern. I thought there was a chance from the previews, and that I loved the comic when I was kid. What a terrible movie.

Could be its own thread, but in the realm of disappointing sequels the matrix reloaded has to be up there  :dunno:

yeah, I watched this on an airplane and thought it was just my small screen and maybe missing some of the storyline or something that made it a POS. checked the interwebs when I got home and realized I missed nothing and it was just a POS. it's like they started shooting with no real storlyine and just made it up as they went along. it was super extra dissapointing because I watch roughly 2 movies a year and like to make sure I'm not wasting 2-3 hours of my life on a pile of crap.

I have seen it. I've also seen better acting in cheerios commercials. Sylvester Stallone is terrible. He was Keanu Reeves before Keanu was born. He's Ashley Judd without boobs. He's Lindsay Lohan after she went to prison. He's bad guys. Really bad.

Summary of the The Departed:

Recent Police academy grad joins a gang. The gang thinks there's a snitch in the group. They are really good at being a gang but can't figure out that the guy who went to the academy is a cop.

Everyone gets shot, Alec Baldwin tries to be funny and fails, Marky Mark makes it watchable.

Its disappointing based on my expectations going in.

You might not like it, but it most likely is about 100x better than you think it will be. It blows away everything else that came out before 1980 and most of what came out after.
