It's really simple.  If ABC shows a sign in the student sections that says "The Chamber Don't Give a crap", people will think of the most uncaring lethal face eating machine on Earth....any reference to "The Chamber" and people will assume you're calling the QB a vagina.

Look at all the old fogies over there clinging to their terrible Chamber nickname from yesteryear.  Meanwhile, the young pups who know how to use a computer have given CK a new nickname relating to the digital age.  It's cute how the #teamchamber people are all over there in their corner, clinging to their old memories, being all old-fashioned, cheering for Snyder to never-give-up-the-reins-but-when-he-does-by-God-we-better-replace-him-with-someone-from-the-Snyder-coaching-tree.  "What about Dana Dimel?" they ask.

God.  Look at them.  They're so adorable, that #teamchamber, hunched over in their hoodless sweatshirts celebrating the Copper Bowl victory from 1993.  "You don't know what it was like before Snyder," they say, wagging a finger and adding, "It was terrible.  And thank God for The Chamber, who is a real Wes Welker type but as a quarterback."

Cling to your memories from yesteryear.  Cling to the good old days before computers took over.  Send recruits snail mail instead of texts.  And by God, keep ironing letters to spell CHAMBER on the backs of your purple 1990s Dallas Cowboy jerseys that you refuse to let us update even though far better alternatives have come along.

Keep on tuckin'.

With about ten minutes to go and Baylor with a first and ten I turned to my son and said, 'Down by 9 with ten minutes to go and the other guys have the ball, The Chamber don't give a &*%$.' I'm really starting to believe in this team! Great win Cats.

It needs to catch on with students for that to really happen. I wish that a K-State student with influence would start a Facebook page about it or a twitter account or something.

My heart still skips a beat when he drops back to make a pass. However my confidence is starting to grow with the The Chamber. I prefer to keep the ball on the ground but if Snyder has trust in the arm so do I.

Guys, I hate to admit it, but the LSU dude has it.  And they're using it on a pistachio commercial now.  The Chamber is, sadly, dead.

During the Mizzou game after Klein pounded his way at will into the heart of the pathetic Missouri defense, the announcers called him a sledgehammer.

I guess what I'm saying is...

Sledgehammer could be his new name. (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hqyc37aOqT0)

(Or we could just call him Collin Gabriel.)

There are several accounts of European badgers being tamed. Tame badgers can be affectionate pets, and can be trained to come to their owners when their names are called. They are easily fed, as they are not fussy eaters, and will instinctively unearth rats, moles and young rabbits without training, though they do have a weakness for pork.

Has OB ever had a OB stay healthy during a full season after JB.  You don't see too many QB's run like a RB and not get hurt.  THB has a very real concern; don't you agree.  :ohno:

Didn't GG play the entire season without any (non preexisting) injuries?  And it's not like CK is taking huge hits, he's taking the types of shots DT took for two seasons and managed to continue playing.  CK is a big dude who runs between the tackles, he's a bit different than Ell.

i would say that snyder has injured his quarterback almost as many times as he has not injured his quarterback.

klein this year-injured
grant gregory-injured
ell as a senior-injured
beasley as a senior-injured
meier-injured
matt miller-injured

those are just off the top of my head. there are probably others.

Yeah, he looked like he was severely injured while he played that 4 OT game and accounted for almost 400 yds/6 tds.  Clearly the same situation as Josey's, if Bill wasn't such a bastard who made his players stay on the field even though SD/RD say he is super dooper injured.

people play injured all the time. lockett got injured during, but finished out the game at osu and just barely missed catching a game tying pass with five seconds left. he won't play again this year. was he injured or dinged up during that game?

Injured and hurt/dinged are too different things.  If you can play through it and the staff allows it, you're just hurt.  Clearly, a guy can't play though a lacerated kidney or torn ACLs, nor would the staff allow it.  CK has some minor injuries that he is able to play though and continue to play at a high level, so he iks just dinged up like so many others are after 10 games.

grant gregory could barely throw a football the entire season. his injury occured in june. he still managed to rush the ball 14 times in the iowa state game while throwing it another 23 times that game for over two hundred yards and two touchdowns. he also went on to play the entire season and finished with over a thousand passing yards while attempting 175 passes.

how could gregory have done what he did if he was "clearly injured" like you said he clearly was, but it's not  possible for klein to have done what he did while also being injured? something does not compute. or you're just a complete dumbass. or both.

Snyder has a rule against players discussing injuries, so Klein is reticent to discuss all his bumps and bruises. He wouldn't bite when asked exactly how much time he spends in the training room in a given week, but did acknowledge he's in there quite a bit.
(AP) -- Perhaps the training room in Kansas State's football complex should be named after Collin Klein.

He spends as much time there as he does on the practice field.

His elbows bloodied, his body swollen and bruised, the junior quarterback is determined to lead the 16th-ranked Wildcats to a high-profile bowl game.
"He gets beat up every game - every game you see him out there, he's beat up and bleeding," Kansas State lineman Nick Puetz said. "He has amazing heart."

Klein certainly isn't your prototypical quarterback.

You're all right- I'm an idiot, a terrible poster and an arm chair trainer.  Meanwhile, CK is able to throw for record numbers and the only known injuries he has are numerous bumps and bruises.  Maybe we should have purposely given him this injury (that Daris and Tortuga keep alluding to) sooner?  I'm just glad that we have guys like Daris who have such elite inside knowledge or we would be forced to simply watch a guy's performance to know if he had suffered some serious injury or not.  Also, it's weird that a guy like GG doesn't heal over time.  I mean, from June to November and his arm never got any better?  Weird.

Look folks, Klein is hurt.  But he's playing and he's playing well.  Which is good for all of us.  So what difference does it make whether he's "injured" or "banged up"?

time to redact the bullshit

There are so many ways to begin analyzing, critiquing and lauding Klein, but shortly after Klein threw for a career-high 281 yards and one touchdown and one interception, and rushed a career-high 35 times for 103 yards and a nation high-tying five touchdowns against the Aggies, a familiar scene unfolded in the living room of Klein's off-campus home that he shares with younger brother Kyle Klein and redshirt freshman center B.J. Finney.

It began with a trip to the freezer to break out the ice packs.

"Standard game day procedure," Finney said on Tuesday. "We just ice down what's hurting. We wrap the ice packs in a towel, or if it won stay on, we keep some plastic wrap from the trainers and re-wrap that around it."

Doug Klein, who makes these regular pilgrimages eight hours east with wife Kelly for home games, has grown used to witnessing the ordeal after the family's post-game dinner.

"It's definitely part of the routine, there's no doubt about that," Doug Klein said. "They immediately start taking care of their bodies and getting them ready to go for the next week. They have to do that. They don't have a choice."

Asked exactly how much the season has taken a toll on his son, Doug Klein says, "I'll use the quote that he's gotten to be good friends with the training staff."

There's plenty of bumps and bruises and cuts that have helped to pave the way for the Wildcats' leader, who has accounted for 2,513 (69 percent) of his team's 3,641 total yards and 34 of its 40 offensive touchdowns in 10 games. And plenty of scintillating moments have accompanied Klein's climb.

Four months after sharing his thoughts on the upcoming season to a small gathering in that Dallas ballroom, it's become pretty packed on the Klein bus.

Everyone wants to see where he's going to take the Wildcats next.

That includes one former K-State quarterback that finished as runner-up for the 1998 Heisman Trophy to Texas running back Ricky Williams.

Klein has rushed for a nation-leading 24 touchdowns this season. He needs three touchdowns at Texas on Saturday to tie Williams' Big 12 single-season record.

"Collin Klein is definitely leading the team. Everyone looks to him for that leadership when it's game time. Overall, his performance has been superb this year."

- Michael Bishop

"Collin Klein is definitely leading the team," Michael Bishop said on Tuesday. "Everyone looks to him for that leadership when it's game time. Overall, his performance has been superb this year. He does a great job running the ball, being patient and squeezing out the yardage when they need it."

He does a great job running the ball, being patient and squeezing out the yardage when they need it."

why would i respond to a really dumb comment that you made about gregory w/ an article about klein? good grief. why not just ask me to copy and paste the part where they reviewed the new chevy cobalt and then talked about the recent kardashian divorce.

I'd be interested in both those things.  TIA

This season is a perfect example of why no HS qb in his right mind would want to come here to play football for LHC Bill Snyder.

Yeah, no QB with little to no chance of playing on Sundays would want to play at a place where he will be the focal point of the offense and have a chance to break the rushing TD record.

This is my point too.  Who really wants to be a throwing running back who gets the crap knocked out of him in most of the games.  Snyder could give a crap about the health of his QB.
Look for Sams or whoever else is willing to run like an RB and be hit on about every play.  Also chances of going to NFL are close to zero.  They are not looking to invest in someone taught to play running back and throw the ball once in a while.  Usually the season is over after starting QB is injuried and not able to play.  :shakesfist:

Snyder qbs have pretty much all ran a crap ton.  It's college football, you're going to get hit.  I get it that, in the okcat household, physical contact is avoided at all costs but most 20 yr old college football players love what they do and The Chamber is a running QB.  Guarangoddamntee he would much rather do what he does than simply drop back and throw the ball.

There is plenty of legitimate complaints about Old Balls, but this bs about running the QB too much, LOL.  Football, it's not a contact sport, it's a collision sport.

CK was a PRO STYLE QB IN HIGH SCHOOL.  That's why Prince recruited him.  I don't think he had anticipated what Synder would expect out of him.  He's doing what the coach wants and is doing it rather well, but most Division I coaches would not have him run like a running back.  Most coaches want their QB to stay healthy.

I'd rather win games than try to make CK into something he's not, but I do think the beating he takes on a weekly basis and him bleeding all over the place maybe doesn't help our chances, such as they are, of landing a 4 or 5 star QB.

So let's see..  Our QB leads the NCAA in TDs. He is given the green light to make a play on every down.  He is on national TV and ESPN homepage on a weekly basis.  With a good game against ISU he'll be invited to the Heisman show in NYC. And he'll have a championship ring.  Basically, other than the Florida jersey, he's Tim Tebow.

But a 4* dual threat wouldn't want to come here because of bloody elbows?

I don't know why we can't recruit a QB. It's been a mystery since Ell.  But I'm sure it has nothing to do with blood loss.

Prince likely didn't bring CK in to be a qb.  Prince would have to be some crazy Fake Sugar Dick (WARNING, NOT THE REAL SUGAR DICK!) to look at a high school CK and think he would ever be a pro style qb at the D1 level.

Sams has the best video of any recruit I've seen Snyder recruit since Zac Robinson.  My reaction to seeing their Junior highlights was basically the same (i.e. Pretty meh).  My reaction to seeing their Senior highlights was exactly the same (i.e. Jaw dropped).

You may as well consider Sams a 4* dual-threat QB.  Had his high school team not had an FCS QB in his class that he had to split time with, they would have played him full-time, and he would have simply blown up.

I mean, I remember them all.  James Battle, Robert Johnson (JUCO), Robert Johnson (Prep), Robbie Ried, Omar Jacobs, Bernard Jackson, Nick Patton, that screw up lefty kid that asked Snyder for money, Josh Portis...and the only one that ever had video that looked like Sams' was Robinson.  And when you look at the list above, probably all four-stars if you dug through Rivals, none of hem had the career that Robinson had by a mile.

Snyder got his QB last year.  The fact that he's getting tutelage from a guy with Klein's attitude is just icing on the cake.

Two things here.

1. If Klien had a capable RB he wouldn't be counted on nearly as much to use his legs and would probably be a better all around better passer because he would still have feeling in his fingers and non seperated sholders from getting hit 30 times a game.
2. I'm very excited about watching sams get on the field. But i have to admit Bender has me equally  :ksu: I think our future at Qb will be brighter then we have ever seen in Manhatten, but only if we get some explosive players around them.

Imagine how meh Freemaw would have been minus Jordy , Figures and Banks....

Hey JT while you're at it, explain this quote from Eli- "In a story that now can be told, Roberson played the second half of the 2003 season with a rotator cuff injury that was later diagnoses as being torn 75 to 80 percent off the bone.

Surgery following the Fiesta Bowl, which all but ended his NFL draft hopes, so he opted for a career in the Canadian Football League with the Montreal Alouettes, first as a quarterback and finally as a receiver.

"I never did recover from the surgery, and I ended up having to quit so I could maybe move my arm when I was 50," said Roberson. "As it turned out, continuing to play at K-State really damaged it, but I'd do it over again. I loved the sport, but it was tearing up my body."

Rick, you might as well give up on JT.  He's too stupid and hard headed to concede.  Seems like if he really has any balls, he would give us some examples of QB's that made it through a season without injuries under Synder.  Don't think it will happen.

The entire argument was over CK's status.  Not Eli's, or GG's, or anyone else's.  You retards started bring that up later.  CK's own roommate just said he was all bruised up and looks like he'll be healthy after an off week.  Healthy enough to practice even.  You dumbasses can try to twist this all you want but it still comes down to who has better info about CK's health.  His roommate or some guy that sits in front of a computer all day and thinks a bruised up arm is the same as being seriously injured.  Retards.
