Welp, he'll probably become a moderate, nearly secular, Muslim now. Already has the beard for it, and I can't recall him tweet about any particular fondness for pork, though in Turkey he can still get it if wants it.
You know, if you bow to the East in the OOD you are looking at the student section....think about that...seems "right," ya know?
Hasalmahamvega, Fear the Beard.

The Turks appreciate a good beard.

Jake saying on Twitter he hasn't signed with anyone.

You have a problem with that? I'm around Turkish people and that's what they refer to the region as.

When you say "Turkish women are above other Arab countries," that means you think Turkey is an Arab country (a common belief among Americans because we're geographically ignorant). If that's not what you meant then you should have left off the word "other," but it's too late now.

Maybe you've dealt with a different group of Turks than I'm around, but that's how they think of themselves. I know Turkey is not on the Arabian Peninsula, but the one's I'm around think of themselves as part of the Arab Region. Geographically, you are correct that my statement was incorrect. I guess it's just a habit I've formed since I've started interacting with them.

Maybe you're friends with some Arab Turks? I mean I'm friends with some Asians that were born in like Johnson County. Facts of life bro. These facts do not make Kietz Asian.
-
Have some KSU stuff that may dad picked up in Turkey. Pretty funny because all of it is slightly different than authentic stuff.
-
Turks consider themselves part of the Muslim World, (http://tr.wikipedia.org/wiki/%C4%B0slam_%C3%BClkeleri) not the Arab World, (http://tr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Arap_Devletleri) another thing clueless Americans mix up constantly. Saying Turkey is part of the Arab region is like saying the United States is part of the Latin America region.
-
I like how he stuck to his guns about how that one ethnic group thinks it's part of that other ethnic group. Stupid Turks think they're Arabs. I've been there, too, and they really are that rough ridin' confused.

They Might Be Giants had a fun song about confusing Turkish geopolitical stuff.

It was fantastic. In elementary school, a teacher had some peripheral relation to somebody in the movie so we got to watch it in class. Hadn't though of it for a while until all this Turkey talk came up. May have to buy a used copy of the dvd for $40.

I've been to Turkey and dated a Turkish girl who lived in London. Most Turks don't consider themselves part of the Arab world, they are quite proud to be secular. Turkey is considered the border between Europe and Asia, with the West side of Istanbul being in Europe and the East side Asia.

Fun fact: Took Islam and Politics (Polsci 401) online this summer from Sabri Ciftci. He's from Turkey and actually filmed his lectures from his Turkish living room. I'm taking two more classes from him next semester. If you guys want, I could ask him to post here to let us know the real answer.

I would do it but the italian alphabet has over 8,000 different letters and I don't have time to learn it or find a keyboard to use that includes all of them.

Between the mods swinging and missing on beth and the unknown soon to be sophomore at manhattan high I would say you being able to secure the services of Sabri could be just what we need around here.

Sounds like Manhattan sister city Biella is totally EMAW over Jake...
this is the big hit ... sosa levels for Biella.
Perfect player in a European context, a really great shot, although it is more guard play.

La vita bella, Jake. La vita FUCKIN bella.

They let you bring big giant drums to the games as if it were a soccer match. :surprised::woot: Would love that in Bramlage.
Attended this game a couple years ago between Biella and Milano and was fairly entertained. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SZfRvkMSp1c (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SZfRvkMSp1c) (Hollace Price :shakesfist: ) Good crowd, but even the larger city a-series teams probably don't sell out their arenas often. Biella seems like one of the smaller teams in the series, as they didn't have recognizable team sponsors like most of the others. One of the coaches was pretty animated.
