You have a problem with that?  I'm around Turkish people and that's what they refer to the region as.

When you say "Turkish women are above other Arab countries," that means you think Turkey is an Arab country (a common belief among Americans because we're geographically ignorant). If that's not what you meant then you should have left off the word "other," but it's too late now.

Maybe you've dealt with a different group of Turks than I'm around, but that's how they think of themselves.  I know Turkey is not on the Arabian Peninsula, but the one's I'm around think of themselves as part of the Arab Region.  Geographically, you are correct that my statement was incorrect.  I guess it's just a habit I've formed since I've started interacting with them.

Maybe you're friends with some Arab Turks?  I mean I'm friends with some Asians that were born in like Johnson County.  Facts of life bro.  These facts do not make Kietz Asian.

Turks consider themselves part of the Muslim World, not the Arab World, another thing clueless Americans mix up constantly. Saying Turkey is part of the Arab region is like saying the United States is part of the Latin America region.

I like how he stuck to his guns about how that one ethnic group thinks it's part of that other ethnic group. Stupid Turks think they're Arabs. I've been there, too, and they really are that rough ridin' confused.

Excellent point.  No one else in this thread could possibly know more than "guy with Turkish/Arab friends."  Pure science.
