BTW this guys policies particularly on housing will be a disaster if implemented.
Housing is already on a very short supply and rent controls will encourage long term entrenched tenants who won't move, will de-incentivize net new construction, and cause more purposeful neglect of upkeep by landlords.
The rent freeze is only for rent-stabilized apartments, which has been done many times in the past. (The apartments are also almost entirely 50+ years old). Most units, including new ones will still be market rate.
He's also for upzoning and removing parking minimums and building more public housing
His ideas are not going to alleviate the housing shortage and he's just extending and expanding the policies that helped exasperate the housing shortage

Exactly what is Trump "threatening"?
Viewers of this blog will note that for people like cRusty (and millions more) a "threat" is being told that you can't get everything you want - anytime you want it. For people like cRusty, a threat is being told a dude can't go into the private spaces traditionally reserved for cis-gendered Females (including underage girls) or a dude being told he can't compete in cis-gendered female sports simply by declaring himself a woman.
Viewers of this blog will note that the #blueanon political movement (numbering in the tens of millions) skews anti Judeo Christian, substantial cliques within the movement are hardcore anti-Semitics. They regularly completely lose their crap over the invocation of biblical ideals - even though a growing number of Christians and denominational sects within Judeo Christianity skew very socially liberal, particularly when it comes to LGBTQ.
What viewers of this blog and the national scene will note is that #blueanon is politically coalescing more and more around politicians who are submitter's (Muslimun) to a hardcore hyper conservative misogynistic oriented religion . . . #blueanon eschews all of their alleged norms and values in their quest for political power.
When challenged on this they'll resort to the usual DerpCon One level "intelligence" by invoking Islamophobia because they're embarrassed and ashamed of the fact that they are selling out their alleged ideals.

i should add that this was the fanciest hotel i've ever stayed at and i felt out of place at the time. the shower and bath were my favorite part. like this must be how lady gaga or whoever lives.
some other ones that come to mind that i've stayed at, thanks to the cc thread:
- Eliza Jane new orleans. beautiful and uniquely restored historic hotel with modern amenities, perfect location (quarter adjace but not in the quarter)
- Andaz 5th avenue: very very nice but i won't stay in midtown again. a suffocating amount of the most boring type of tourist everywhere, and like nothing cool nearby?
- Hotel du Louvre: an incredible flex if you're going with a romantic partner. very adorable classic paris building across the street from its namesake. cool private exterior balconies to take in the street scene, great location from which to explore Paris.
