I am not referring to Islam, which IMO is more like Western religions.  Eastern religions seem quite  different in how they are organized…”priesthood” seems less like a position of authority, and more a lifestyle choice (“walking the walk”).  As compared to western religions, they are very inefficient at controlling the population. It’s almost as if they were not created to enforce order and a command and control hierarchy.  Eastern religions also seem to lack as much “if you don’t join us you go to hell” as western religions.

I would look a little more in to what is going on India and the history of Japan and Korea.

You really think those religions were on par with the west in their ability to control the populace?

Judaism is eastern imo
If there was a gif of nicname thwarting the attempted-flag-taker and then gesturing him to suck it, followed by motioning for all of Hilton Shelter to boo him louder, it'd be better than that auburn gif.

I’m comfortable expanding the conspiracy label to all religions. Gosh, there are 1000’s that are active, and even more that are extinct due to attrition or genocide by followers of other religions.

I don’t mean far eastern. Tell me about what the west was like in 2000 bc? There was no west in 2000 bc.

Edit: this tangent should prob go in the religion thread imo.

West and East are always relative. Do you think everyone was like, "Welp, we all live in the East, because no one has found the West, yet, as far as we know ...."?

Yes, they are relative. The ancient near East and the area of what is now western india (if you want to include it), aren’t western imo. Obv not far eastern either.

From what I’ve read and listened to early Hebrews/Semitic peoples were far more influenced by cultures and peoples from the (near) east than from their west.

There wasn’t really much of a “west” in the Iron Age anyway tho I don’t think.

Pretty sure this screenshot is from ~2000 bc.

From this video, which I find fun.

Fun fact if you go far enough east you will end up in the west.
