Do you need to play the game to enjoy it?

I've never played the game, and I am actively enjoying it. It's kind of like The Last of Us, but also a Western, but also the Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt turned Rambo.

Halfway through and that's a fairly accurate way of describing it, though I haven't fully consumed Last of Us I feel that show is in general far more apocalyptic/desperate where Fallout is more "well we did this to ourselves" so it seems less desperate and more we "welp we're like this cause we done mumped up!" Makes it less serious I guess (not that it's unserious or not dealing with something serious just has more of an air of whimsy with it). Also probably because Fallout is clearly set in a timeline divergent from our own (in terms of tech development, style, etc) and Last of Us is very clearly modelled on our timeline had said infection become a thing, it's only divergence really is the infection.

Yeah that is pretty damn surprising. To even have a passing K-State knowledge of why we even have the wabash cannonball should tip you off, let along be like "hmm let me type this is in and search "what is wabash cannonball"" is pretty ignorant, boarding on complete intellectual incuriousness

I mean I'd assume on gameday they'll be more, they usually run 4 during high traffic times already. I also assume after all the entertainment stuff is built down there (cause there is jack crap of that rn) less people will leave en masse at the same time. Obviously there will be a  rush but after a game is done there will probably be enough people deciding to go have dinner or drinks right there that'll allow for it to probably be not as bad as it is now.

I think we go 11-1, win the CCG, get a bye, win that game, lose semis to UGA or w/e by 2+ TDs. We use that as motivation for our year next year when Avery wins Heisman and we go 16-0

Guys, I think we go undefeated then lose the Big 12 Championship to a dark horse Big 12 team, then lose our first game in the CFB playoffs. Eerily similar to 1998.
I hate to be a Debbie downer, but I don’t think the Big 12 will be a lock to get a 1 loss conference CCG loser into the playoff.

TCU was a literal lock before we beat their ass in the Dr pepper and that with the 4 game playoff.

A 12-1 Big12 team with their only loss being in the Dr pepper will be in the 12 team playoff.

Correct, it would be pretty damn unlikely for 2 teams to not get in. SEC/big 10 will have 3, us and ACC 2, and then a G5 and polly ND will be the norm

5 pods in and this team still on pace to win ~100 games. Whoa.

It's incredible given last year. Like part of me still is waiting for the bottom to fall out, but like, they have proven themselves now over 47 games, it's not a small sample size at all.

I am though very curious once this A's series is done what will happen between now and then the next A's series in a month, as the next opponents are all basically .500 or better baseball teams (Padres only one below .500 by a game). It's Detroit, @Minny, SD, @Cleveland, Seattle, Yankees, @Dodgers. If they end up over 500 over that entire span I can't see how they won't be in the playoffs as most of those teams are playoffs contenders themselves.

Here is my wishlist for the last starting spot

Jamir Watkins
Cedric Coward
Wooga Poplar

Don't know any of these people, but based solely on names, I'd go with Wooga.

My initial thoughts as well

Wendover as mentioned is p-good, as is Half as Interesting.

I like Oversimplified a ton, but it's a pretty rare upload (I get it takes a while just patience).

B1M as someone mentioned is pretty good. My gf and I like the Local Project for fun house designs.

LockPickingLawyer is also quirky but like asmr fun, and you do learn a ton about locks/security.

Older one but buzzfeed unsolved is fun to go back and watch some real good ones, same with puppet history on Watcher., and ruining history on buzzfeed.

Also Jay Foreman is pretty good, especially the map men episodes.

Casually explained has slowed down his content but lots of good ones in there.

And yeah, Mr Beat is pretty darn good, also fun given he's a local Kansan.

3:25 Sunday is the best time for the Chiefs to kickoff, and it isn't close.

Yup, it and a the 2:30 CFB 'cats times are my favorite games. Not so early it sucks to get prepped for, not too late where the next day could be not fun. You can eat lunch at basically a normal time, and the game is over and it's dinner time and you can relax a bit.

I like how the first 3 and last 3 are like all feelings and subjective elements of the VAR process, but the middle 3 are legit AF complainst, especially #4.

In other EV news a guy in my hood got a cyber truck and it’s the stupidest looking thing I’ve ever seen. Pictures and video don’t do justice to seeing this thing irl. It’s so lmao.

Yeah I saw one irl for the first time last weekend in KC. Just horrifying stupid and worse irl.

Yeah, they need one or two more bats to push them over the edge. Still a pretty good team but just not top flight. At least now they get to play a pretty meh A's team and Detroit which while not terrible has not been doing great lately. At least they Royals had sewn up this last pod 5-4.

KU/Lawrence would have to do a Stalinist revision of its Bloody Kansas heritage to fit in the SEC. Can see them embracing their Lawrencetucky brand, tho.

In the middle of reading a book about the Border War (1850-1865).  Based on the ideology there, KU would have to sell its soul to join the SEC.

Yes, and that's exactly how it would feel to me, and I'd never donate a dollar to the institution.

All of this is hence my opinion mizzou wins the border war if ku were to ever do that. It's almost unfathomable but stranger things have happened.

Unless it's some weird 4 way tie situation cause of how many teams there are.

Well... It's going to happen, maybe not the Big 12 this season, but it's going to happen and probably somewhere every year until they get rid of the non division play with 80 team conferences. It's mathematically unavoidable.

I know this, hence it's qualification to my previous statement. If it's a tiebreaker crap then we needed to probably win a game we lost and at that point it's more like last year and just sad, not disappointed.

21
If serious then Mizzou won the border war. Just saying

As of right now not making it to the pepper is going to feel like a disappointment. Unless it's some weird 4 way tie situation cause of how many teams there are.

Will take a series win, would also be nice to not give up 2 runs in the 9th.

Like I know all this is frustrating and disheartening recently but my god the twitter reaction (and yes i know it's twitter, overreaction is the name of the game) is over the top. It sucks, but where have these bozos been when all the KITN of football recruiting was going on during the second part of the LHCBS part 2. Maybe they are too young to remember.

certain twitter accounts need to be banned from the app. ELON!!

specialteamsu is an embarrassment. I think the kid is still in college. The guys my age, from KU, who he's battling with, are worse. Grown ass men, with kids and a mortgage battling burner accounts on twitter is sad as eff.

He's exactly who I had to mute through all this. My god it's gross
