oh man.  good thing Manhatter is ban-proof over there.

Can you guys just hire him as a recruiting analyst?

sure, we'll pay him double what we pay _FAN for doing his write ups.

RD, did you read this?  Could be a great option for tokyo

http://boardingarea.com/blogs/onemileatatime/2012/02/03/the-amazing-value-of-americans-oneworld-distance-based-awards/?utm_source=feedburner&utm_medium=feed&utm_campaign=Feed%3A+boardingarea%2Fonemileatatime+%28One+Mile+at+a+Time%29

mods please move to kids thread. the value on those looks just absolutely insand though. 300k could get two people pretty much around the world with multiple stops. did you see some of the comments? pretty unreal.

yeah, kind of rethinking my recent 165k AA booking for just the euro RT.  Could churn a few more AA cards, take a month off of work and go crazy.

you know the burnout who has dedicated his life to warning kids about the dangers of drugs, urging them not to make the same mistakes he made?  that's me in this thread.  before i had any, i was totally wrong about kids and happiness.

it's like, you can be educated without going to college, but it's just not the same thing.  it might also be the case that while you can lead a happy life without having kids, it's just not going to be the same thing.

This makes me more excited to have kids eventually

having children is immoral.

What about below replacement level?

Is there a quick/easy way to determine what (if any) points you can use for a certain hotel?  I have a wedding in Portland in July and will be staying at Hotel Modera for a few nights and would like to find a bonus card to rack up points ahead of time if I can.  tia

that place looks elite but I don't think they belong to any points program.  I like to go to tripadvisor.com>type in city I'm going to be in>click on hotels>on the left side of the screen towards the bottom there is an option to click on hotel brands>click on all programs you have or may have when you go.  It will remove all the hotels that aren't members of the programs you choose.  Very helpful imo.

I would have a lot more confidence in having kids eventually if everyone with kids was actiing like michigancat and rick daris.  the desperate rantings about flawed studies, unfullfilled/meaningless lives, etc. make me think some people are not so pleased with their life decision to be breeders.

So if you are ITK and you share that K with people, are you BTK (bringing the knowledge)?

I'm not ITK at all.  I just K people ITK or K people that K people ITK.

these shows were on past my bedtime when I was growing up.

oh yeah, me too, but we had a tv in our basement where my room was that nobody upstairs could hear.  anyway, twin peaks as a, like, 9 or 10 year old kid really fucks with your head.  like, it does anyway, but as a kid you really get messed up in the brain.

Did 10 year old steve dave make it through the entire second season of Twin Peaks? To say it wasn't as good as the first season would be a bit of an understatement.

I don't really remember

Stupid "my era" tucks.  Mitch Richmond, Rolando Blackmon, Bob Boozer.  You sound just like the tucks who say well so and so from 1950 was far and away better then so and so from 2008 because we didn't have 3 pt lines.  You are all just "MY ERA" Tucks no different than gramps down the street.  I'm looking at you Steve Dave  :dubious:

I have no idea what you are trying to communicate here
