While the one clerk shows some 96-year-old woman all the varieties of stamps she can choose from, and granny ponders for ages. Or the clerk helps hispanics fill out their passport applications, husband, wife, and a couple of kids. (At our post office it is over 90% hispanics doing the passport, the rest are mostly blacks. Rarely it a white family getting a passport.) The post office clerk used to take the passport photographs but now they go to CVS. Many times, they do not know they need a photograph, so they have to go get one. That way they get to hold up the line twice.
