The limitations they put on Hubener in the QB run game (he was clearly told to give on most read plays after the first play) tell me they want to keep the redshirt for Banks and they believe Delton will be back sooner than later to be a legit back-up. JMHO.

When is sooner than later though?  4 weeks from now he'll be back?  How many games will that cost us?

Any updates on whether Jonathan Banks is getting considerable reps at practice?  I doubt seriously that Joe Huebner will be able to carry the weight without a break, until Delton returns.

Good point though. I think they will only pull it from Banks in an absolute emergency.

That being said, shouldn't Banks be getting reps with the first team just in case?

It's not every year that all of the QBs ahead of the redshirt get injured. It's very rare.

My guess is Delton will be fine soon and they will do everything in their power not to have to pull a red shirt. It's very rare this ever happens under Snyder was my point.

It's football not tiddlywinks, people get dinged up where they have to miss a series or even a quarter.  Going into any game hoping Hubener stays healthy before Delton can return makes absolutely no sense.  That redshirt for Banks is about as secure as it was for Mason Rudolf last year.

Yeah well what I know about him is that Coach Snyder is not going into a game ill prepared hoping for the best.  Unless Delton or Ertz is ready to take the field in Stillwater next week, Banks is most likely getting snaps.  That does not affect his redshirt status, it makes him ready if needed.   

So are you proposing we run the Wildcat offense with Charles Jones, if Hubener has to go out?
