Did you try any like bacon substitutes? Do they even exist?
For bacon, they almost always use “beef bacon” and it’s just pretty much just beef jerky. The fancier places will have Turkey bacon, which is better than “beef bacon”, but yeah not the same. I think it’s the fat content or something? You can’t get a good pepperoni pizza on this side of the world. But that said, there’s always pockets of Filipino restaurants that serve pork if you’re willing to go off the map a bit.
