I can't imagine an SEC team possibly would, but please hire Prince.

Rhoads going anywhere would be a fantastic ISU meltdown, but I would like to keep his 3 annual conference wins in Ames

And you gotta figure, being the hand picked successor of Alvarez, he had a great relationship with the AD

Unless the AD wants to coach again. He is coaching the rose bowl after all.

I think thats more as an F you to Bielema for leaving than him wanting to coach again, but who knows.

Apologies if Luke'd, but this is absurdly entertaining.

That was fun.

I do know of a coach who would take the job.  His name rhymes with Don Fence.

That would be Currie's guy, right?  So, how awesome is it now that Currie is adamantly opposed to hiring someone from the ultra successful Hayden Fry/LHC Bill Snyder/Barry Alvarez coaching tree?

Dave Hart is who Tennessee chose instead of Currie, when Currie was after the Tennessee AD job.

I see.  I wonder how that relates to Currie's unfavorable view of the Snyder coaching tree.

Also, I can see Beliema wanting to leave. You only have so much goodwill from fans as a coach, and it's maximized when you're first hired. (sys had a good post about it). I mean, you go to three Rose Bowls in a row and all of a sudden a Rose Bowl doesn't get you as much goodwill as it used to.

I have a few Wisconsin grad friends, and they all are in agreement that the prevailing thought among the Wisconsin community is that Bielema was on the way down, and he knew it.  "New shot clock" thing.

I missed it if there was something concrete on Currie having an unfavorable view of the Snyder tree per se....just Sean and Leavitt...which we heard from media types who claimed to be in the know.

It really would have said a lot about Cincinnati if he went to Colorado, this says a lot more about Colorado.  What a godawful job.

Ron Prince would be perfect for the Colorado job.  Low expectations, smoke weed, driving distance to Hays, etc.

Maybe there is a connection with Charlie Strong turning down Tennessee, then shortly there after Butch Jones turning down Colorado.   :dunno:

I don't know, I could really go for an NU coaching search this late in the game....coupled with the "you're such a horrible school that even Bo Pelini left you" and "Tennessee is a better job than NU" talking points.
