That's pretty brilliant.

Rest advantage. We play Carolina off their bye, otherwise fairly even. The short rest for the Christmas game blows but Pitt is on the same rest.

I hope KC on Christmas becomes the new Cowboys on Thanksgiving.

I hope it doesn't. It's annoying.

I assume you're coming from the perspective of someone who plans on going to the games.

As a non-stadium goer, I cannot think of anything better than my team playing on a day where (1) I'm basically guaranteed to be at home, and (2) no one can ask me to work.

Would settle for the new Lions on Thanksgiving.

Been a while since I've visited the YouTuber for browsing purposes.

Now adays I mostly use it for Minecraft build tutorials, but when I do decide to go down a rabbit hole I usually check out new episodes of Bad Lip Reading and You Suck at Cooking.

Guys, it was a commencement speech at benedictine.  Good grief.
Is your point that he said it at a public forum and therefore purposely invited public dialogue?

My point is wgaf about butker’s beliefs

The petitions calling for him to get kicked off the team are LOL.

I fully support any debate surrounding what was said in a public forum, but acting like someone's beliefs should have any bearing on their roster spot is ridiculous.

“I had no involvement whatsoever in the flying of the flag,” Justice Alito said in an emailed statement to The Times. “It was briefly placed by Mrs. Alito in response to a neighbor’s use of objectionable and personally insulting language on yard signs.”
You’d think he’d be better at arguing a position that made sense after being a justice for that long.

Key lime pie and cheesecake are basically the only two non-chocolate desserts I will eat.
i’m going to share something with you.  despite being the best chef on this bulletin board, i haven’t mastered the art of the cheesecake.  mine are mid, at best.  keep it b/w us, “cat-man”.  cool?
I had a recipe that came out well for me, which was pretty basic. The biggest keys imo are pressing the hell out of that gram cracker crust and not over baking it.

Nope

In other EV news a guy in my hood got a cyber truck and it’s the stupidest looking thing I’ve ever seen. Pictures and video don’t do justice to seeing this thing irl. It’s so lmao.

Saw one on my commute a couple weeks back. I think it’s easily the most efficient way to communicate that you’re an easy mark.

Waverly labs has been doing it for awhile, I think they just suck at marketing
AI can help with that.

Unless Missouri and Kentucky are just begging for reasons to be relevant again, I don’t understand why the SEC would send an invite.

And unless KU is desperate for short term cash over a conference affiliation that makes any sense, I don’t see why they’d accept.

It’s really LL’s fault for forcing them to break ground within a year of his extension when they really hadn’t been planning to do anything.

The takeoff was rough but they can still land this bird.

I didn’t say all things spicy are acids I said all acids are spicy

Having US spies undercover as movie stars is such an objectively good idea that I’m sure we have lots of them.

I’ve always generally supported higher taxes on the wealthy so long as the money is put to good public use. I think pitching in for the KU stadium is the right thing to do here. Just my two cents.

I do wish KSU could celebrate its own prosperity without offending KU fans, though.

Harvested the last of my radishes tonight, tossed them in olive oil/salt/pepper etc and grilled them with some kielbasa sausage for a quick boi dinner. Sides of mustard and horseradish for dipping.

I’ve never thought of this until just now, but I don’t think I’ve ever had a cooked radish. I love them raw though.

Question for all the #CASTIRONHEADS out there…polished cast iron? Looks beautiful but how does it perform compared to regular C.I.?
Mrs BAC spotted some SMITHEY brand C.I. at the store and I was like oh wow I want that…or do I? Best check with the C.I. Experts first
I’ve fallen into enough comment sections on FB to be pretty convinced that polished cast iron is superior in terms of nonstick and overall performance. The texture on most Lodge pans is supposedly just a byproduct of the way they’re produced and not a design feature.

The FIVE edits to this made me chuckle

Reynolds and Jackman are pissed about DEI so they refused to do 5 interviews with Behar.

Seems like a normal reaction rather than a right wing fever dream.

Googling this links me to the same video over and over from some rando that's in the OP. MSM doesn't want you to know about DEI, Reynolds, and Behar!

I liked the idea that since the only source they could find is the same as the op, it's clearly a cover up by the MSM
“You think THAT sounds ridiculous, well guess what, even more ridiculous is I can’t find any legitimate sources to back it up. What are they hiding?”

NIL is a billionaires playground, any attempts at grass roots fundraising are just token effort to go through the motions.
Why would donations to Ahearn Fund be any different? Just because they’re tax deductible they’re more suitable for the little guy?

This reminds me of an interesting point I had never really considered. I was watching a streamer doing one of those political quiz type things and the question was something like "does a business have any ethical responsibility beyond making money" and the guy basically argued that no, they have no ethical responsibility except following the law. The state has the responsibility of not letting businesses be lawfully unethical. In essence I fully agree with that, and asking businesses (or people) to act ethically without legal framework is a pipe dream.
I agree with this as well, and in fact I would say that’s one of the greatest benefits to capitalism is that it encourages creativity and competition up to the very brink of what is not explicitly prohibited.

Not gEing here, just curious what is a modern day (as in, the last 5 years or so) example of competition that benefited the consumer? I do believe there probably are some, but every kind of common good/service I can think of off the top of my head all of the companies that should, in theory, be competing for my business all just keep raising their prices/lowering the quality of their product bc as long as they all do it together the consumer doesn’t really have many options

5 years seems like an arbitrary timeframe to pick, but off the top of my head I’d say a lot more places offer free (or near free) grocery delivery or 2 day delivery to compete with Amazon and others. Lots of restaurants offer pretty good deals and easy mobile ordering. Internet and 5G is improving because mobile companies realize it’s a necessity to keep customers. TVs keep getting better while generally getting cheaper. Same with phones overall.

And for things that have gone down in quality, a lot of that is due to consumer demand too. We still have access to higher quality versions of most products, it’s just that the vast majority of Americans prefer the cheaper stuff.
