Most of the 2011 season felt that way. I can’t remember another season with that many close games that KSU just squeaked out. Really not all that different than TCU seemed this season.

TCU is better than Bama and we just beat them.
Not gEing, I think this is right. It’s just a different animal when Saban has 3 weeks to prepare for you. If we score over 30 then Klein deserves an award.

We probably are going to be without FAU and I would guess Brents is probably a wildcard
Yeah a lot of people talking about who at Bama will be sitting but I’d definitely like to hear more about who the Cats are bringing.

No matter what bar\restaurant you go to, always get a cocktail to go on your way out!
Now THAT is a pro tip. Thank you.

I submit to you, 2:41 for best moment. The huge grin on Zentner’s face when he’s trotting on to kick the game winner. What a baller.

I think you guys are being a bit too negative here. It’s true that Alabama couldn’t even win their division in the South Athletic Conference, but what a lot of people forget is that they DID beat a Big 12 opponent this year.

That’s obviously way different than the grind of playing in the Big 12 week after week, but Texas is no slouch. I’d put Alabama as solidly in the top half of the Big 12. Maybe as high as #4 this season.

Happy for TCU, glad they actually got the right decision
Agree. Good on the playoff committee here.

Damn. Well said, Chip.

Ever since the Cats showed how good they can be, Saban has been campaigning mercilessly trying to duck us in the Sugar. SAD

Also I do not understand how that was not a safety

Tuck rule situation, his arm was going forward and by rule, if his arm is going forward, in a passing motion, with the ball in it, it's a forward pass. The referees don't have the latitude to interpret intent to pass, which there was clearly none in that play, but they called it correctly.
The problem I have with it is it never left his hand moving forward
Yeah, a truly bizarre play. The ball was completely in his hand and got punched out. Seems like a textbook fumble. Why does it matter if his arm was going up, down, sideways or in rough ridin' circles?

Even though it’s kinda dumb, I at least understand the “tuck” rule because 99.9% of the time it comes into play when only the QB’s arm is hit, which makes it almost impossible to determine whether the QB was trying to release the ball for a pass or not. I’m this case, he clearly was not releasing it.

He ran howard 9 goddamn times
The game plan for 9AM is completely different than for Howard. Why don’t you critique a game where Klein knew Howard would be the starter all week?
Any update on this analysis?

I can't believe they are leaving Caleb in

That was my thought like most of the second half. Idk if that was 4D coaching or just being kind of a dick.

I wasn't saying Utah might win. I was saying if they win, it might put TCU in the playoffs. It's also possible OSU and Alabama both jump them. Just depends on how badly we embarrass them.

I'm just saying chances are better if USC is out.  I been hearing all day about how TCU deserves it, win or lose the CCG.  Problem is they then turn around and say the CFP committee may use the "eye test", and move TCU as 5th and put OSU or LSU/Alabama in.

USC losing would definitely put TCU in a really good if not a near locked position. LSU has 3 losses, they are not in regardless of what happens. tOSU with a USC loss is also like a lock, so it comes down to whether or not Bama jumps over TCU, which would also somehow mean putting in a team that lost to Tennessee with the same record (I know the Hooker is hurt argument is going to keep them out) but it would make the committee IMO look really bad if they do it.

And to do that, Bama would have to jump TCU AND tOSU. Bama is behind tOSU currently, and neither school has an opportunity to improve its resume. For either to jump a team that STILL HAS MORE WINS than them would be preposterous IMO.

Prompt: Write a scene in a sitcom about Kansas State football.

The scene opens on a living room, where two friends, Jake and Sam, are sitting on the couch watching a football game.

Jake: "Come on, Kansas State! Let's go!"

Sam: "I don't know, Jake. They're down by 10 points in the fourth quarter. It's not looking good."

Jake: (sighing) "Yeah, you're right. But I still have faith in them."

The camera cuts to a shot of the television, where the Kansas State football team is on the field, huddled together before the snap.

Announcer: (off-screen) "And it's third down and ten for Kansas State. They need to convert here to keep their hopes alive."

The quarterback calls out the play and the team breaks the huddle, lining up on the field. The ball is snapped and the quarterback drops back to pass.

Announcer: (off-screen) "He's got a man open down the field! Can he make the throw?"

The quarterback launches a perfect spiral down the field, and the receiver makes a diving catch for a touchdown.

Jake: (jumping up from the couch) "Yes! Touchdown, Kansas State! That's what I'm talking about!"

Sam: (smiling) "Wow, they pulled it off. Great play by the quarterback and the receiver."

The camera cuts back to the living room, where Jake and Sam are high-fiving each other in celebration.

Jake: "I told you, man. I never lose faith in my team."

Sam: (laughing) "Yeah, well let's hope they can hold on and win this game."

The scene fades to black as the friends continue to watch the game with excitement.
Absolutely love that Jake and Sam don’t know how scoring works in FB. This would be a legit funny scene to see acted out.

Little torn on this USC game. On the one hand, it would be hilarious or Lincoln to go to the playoff immediately after leaving OU. On the other hand, it would be nice for the Big 12 to have a representative after we inevitably beat TCU tomorrow.

Impossible, the game is indoors, our kicker is nails on everything inside of 75 yards.
I saw a blurb on ESPN saying the matchup was extremely close on paper, but threw out that TCU had the more reliable placekicker.

Those guys are going to feel like bigtime idiots when TCU beats us by 2.

If we lose tomorrow we’ll be 0-4 against teams that are currently ranked, that may be good enough for you guys but it isn’t good enough for me
If we lose tomorrow we’ll be 3-1 in games with Will Howard as our starter.

Will need to see the score to know whether we stay above the 47-point floor Howard+Klein has us on currently.

Did BigRob ever get the validation he was looking for to confirm he is a big strong special man?

Frost whipped our ballsacks and taints off on the ‘cruitin trail. Maybe Klieman can do the ballsack whipping to Rhule.
Their 4 year stater QB is our backup.
