Thanks for the stats, FAN. KSU definitely doesn't get many cheapies in transition to boost the percentage, even a little bit. They're just limited offensively...both from set shots & off the dribble. Nothing new, of course. It is what it is (and has been for some time.) The good thing is the right people are drawing fouls and cashing in on those opportunities, for the most part. Again, I still think it is odd that KSU (in coference play):
Is the 10th best field goal shooting team, but tied for the 2nd most assists per game. Those tied or above KSU shoot dramatically better than the 'Cats.
Has only shot >44% from the field twice in 14 games, yet still have a good chance of getting an opening round bye in the conference tournament. What is KSU's "A" game, as far as shooting goes? 45%?
