These might be meaningless stats, but more food for thought as we approach tonight's game.

KSU shooting on the road in Big 12 play: 43.1%
KSU shooting at home in Big 12 play: 38.9%
6 of 10 shooting games over 40% on the road.
Worst 3 shooting performances (30.2%, 32.3%, 32.6%) all at home.

If KSU can even slightly beat our average on the road tonight and approach 45%, Cats win.

Road games:

Home games:
30.2% Tech
43.6% BU
32.6% NU
49.1% MU
40.8% CU

Granted, this just accounts for how we shoot (and not our opponents) and I'll acknowledge that it is somewhat silly to isolate statistics, but still the trend has shown we should shoot over 40% on the road and I think that is going to be key tonight.  I think our effort and defense will be there, IMO its going to be about how well we can shoot the ball.

Shooting 45%, we should be gold tonight.  Osu is really struggling offensivly.

Curry only 16-50 FG

They still have the ability to score, but they are struggling.

Thanks for the stats, FAN.  KSU definitely doesn't get many cheapies in transition to boost the percentage, even a little bit.  They're just limited offensively...both from set shots & off the dribble.  Nothing new, of course.  It is what it is (and has been for some time.)  The good thing is the right people are drawing fouls and cashing in on those opportunities, for the most part.  Again, I still think it is odd that KSU (in coference play):

Is the 10th best field goal shooting team, but tied for the 2nd most assists per game.  Those tied or above KSU shoot dramatically better than the 'Cats.

Has only shot >44% from the field twice in 14 games, yet still have a good chance of getting an opening round bye in the conference tournament.  What is KSU's "A" game, as far as shooting goes? 45%?

I remember I used to always think our rims looked very hard at home, the way the ball reacted off of them as opposed to other big 12 venues.
