Nothing like getting to hear Dick Enberg at 11 a.m.

I'm not sure who I want to win this game.  TT shouldn't lose again (OSU, BU, @ISU) and should finish with 9 wins, which really forces us to get to 10 or 11 wins.

On the other hand, I like the idea of OSU continuing to lose so this inexplicable national love affair with them will end.  Why do the "experts" continue to place them in the tournament.  They have lost 5 of their last 6 and needed 2OT to get that win.

Excellent question.  I almost want to root for OSU in this game just because we still get to play them and I want their RPI as high as possible.  Beating them at their house would give us a decent boost in RPI.  I'm thinking a minimum of three spots upwards, maybe as many as eight(depending on what happens to some other bubble teams too.)

Either way, it's a win/win situation for us here.  The loser of this game probably doesn't go dancing.

Its going to be KSU vs teams like Georgia Tech, Purdue, and West Virginia just as much as KSU vs Tech or OSU.  Regardless, I think Tech is in with even a 2-1 finish.  This game probably eliminates OSU, which at the end of the day is probably better for us in the at large scheme of things.

The fact that we have so many teams that need to lose reinforces that we mainly need to take care of our own business.  Regardless of what any other bubble team does, we still control our own destiny and probably have just as favorable schedule to get there.  If we don't get in, its completely on us, not that Tech beat OSU or whatever.

the media has a hard on for tech. i think they are in no matter what. knight factor.

if OSU loses to tech and beats us..we're &*$@!ed.

if OSU beats tech and we beat OSU, it looks better...

so..for the sake of me thinking tech is already in...and that we have a slight chance in stoolwater no mater how down they are,

i want OSU to win.

that's my take as well, especially since the media is still hanging all over OSU's sack

The things that will help us most today:

A KSU win. (minimal effect on RPI, b/c its a road game so we may even move up a spot, plus it would improve our neutral/road record to 8-7.)
A UT win.  (Road win could boost them into the Top 30, good for us.)
A USC win. (A little bit of a wash b/c they play Cal, but USC back into the Top 50 is good for us.)
Any other OOC team winning. (like a miracle win for Rutgers at Nova b/c it would give us a slight boost and a bad loss for a bubble team we're competing with for a spot.)

Our resume getting better is more important than other's getting worse.

I'm really hoping that the committee looks at the last 10 games played and puts a lot of weight on that.  Teams that have lost 7 of their last 10 or more simply do not deserve to get in, regardless of conference or who they beat earlier in the year.  They're obviously not playing great basketball and have no business playing amongst teams that are.

I'm convinced what needs to happen is OSU to win today, us to win today, and us to win on Wed.

That's the best case scenario in my opinion.

Did I hear correctly that the foul count was 12-3 in favor  of tech in the 1st half? What a load of crap.

Winning at OSU will give us a good bump regardless of what OSU does today IMO.  An OSU win today wouldn't mean a big move.

True, and I'd still like to see this one go about 2 or three OT's...just keep playin' those minutes boys..

I hope our guys don't get stuck in CO tonight...on account of weather.

This is a huge game for us..easy to overlook if these guys aren't focused...I will be unbelievably pissed if they let CU hang around.

I think we might be in trouble against OSU.  For all their shortcomings they've got two guys who can play in the paint very well.  Not sure we can stop that with Bennet/Colon and Hoskins.  We'll have to keep it from getting into the paint.

I do think we'll shut Curry down though.

Boggan will destroy us.

The good thing is Boggan (and OSU in general) don't exactly play lock down defense.  Hoskins should be able to get going as well.

boggan will only destroy us if the refs let him get away with it.

which seems to be the theme of every big 12 away game for us.

OSU - "don't exactly play lock down defense."

this has surprised me more than anything from Sutton.

OSU lets ANYONE drive to the basket.  I foresee Maybank getting a lot of minutes on Wednesday.

Never forget we play on "National" TV next weekend...that could help us a bit...if the guys can put on a good show.

Will be interesting to see what the coverage is like for that game on ABC.

In the end, we can only control what we can control.

Today is a absolute must.  Losing to CU will kill our RPI.  We dropped six spots when we beat them can you imagine what would happen if we lost.

Tuesday at OSU is the toss-up game.  A win and I think that makes enough of a national impact (perception is a powerful thing) to secure us in the tournament.  That would be 11 B12 wins (including 5 on the road) and 21 overall.  This would wrap up a first-round bye at OKC.

Saturday in Huggieville should be icing on the cake.  OU will be beat down and probably coming off of 5 straight losses and will have seen Cinderella's slipper break into many pieces.

One last nugget, if we run the table, we should actually be the three seed in OKC.  Texas has at OU, ATM and at ku left.  There are easily two losses in there that would draw us even with the Longhorns and give us the late game on Friday night vs. 6/11 winner (go Baylor).

Maybe we'll get another multiple OT game in Lubbock and then OSU gets stuck there because of weather.  They only go seven deep as is.  Let's hope this wears their asses out.

Keep in mind if K-State and Tech stay in the 4/5 slots, we will most likely play Tech on Friday. The #4 seed plays the 5/12 winner. Another opportunity for a quality win.

Boggan's a moron.  Got that rebound close to the basket with 3-4 seconds left and dribbled it outside to take an off-balance three, rather than taking it up strong for the game-tying shot.

    I miss him ^^
It was obvious Sutton didn't want his team playing OT.  Dude grabbed a rebound 2 feet from the rim and sprinted back to the 3 pt line.  Woulda loved OT...
