I usually don't link kstatefans on here, but it's too funny to let pass.

http://mbd.scout.com/mb.aspx?S=173#S=173&F=2671&T=140811

The squawklogic went in the following order:
1)"Wow K-state fans are dumb!  They got Brandon Rush and CJ Giles mixed up!"
2)"It's just some stupid rumor K-state fans made up.  Brandon doesn't even have a child.  I'm offended they would make something stupid like that up.  We should sue for libel/slander/defamation.  Show me proof."
3)"That missouri court case doesn't mean anything.  It's not even the same Brandon Rush.  You guys are morons."
4)"Just because it's a Brandon L Rush in Jackson County, and our Brandon L Rush is from Jackson County, doesn't mean that suit involves our Brandon Rush."
5)"Just because it's a Brandon L Rush that lived with a Glenda Rush in Jackson County, and our Brandon L Rush from Jackson County has a mother named Glenda Rush, doesn't mean it's our Brandon Rush."
6)"K-state fans are classless.  I can't believe they brought something that private up."
7)"Paternity doesn't mean mean he hasn't been paying child support.  It means they're giving him a paternity test.  It's probably some dumb broad trying to leech off of his future millions."
(Enter logic about how the state has been paying for his child, which is why the STATE is going after Brandon and not actually THE GIRL as the jayhawks have been insinuating.)
After running out of excuses
8)"It can't be true.  The media would know about it.  You guys are all just making this up.  Liars.  ALL LIARS I TELL YOU!  STOP SAYING BAD THINGS ABOUT OUR BASKETBALL TEAM!  WE'RE RIGHT!  YOU GUYS HAD NO RIGHT TO BRING UP SOMETHING THIS PERSONAL!(after demanding proof that rush was a deadbeat dad earlier.)

It's not all in this specific thread, but this thread contains most of the phases.  The rest can be found on phog and on the slant.

Quality entertainment.

The proof that has surfaced is that it is, in fact, the Brandon Rush on the ku team that the state(not the mother of the child) is going after.  Also, the childs last name is "Rush"

Now, ku fans will adamantly deny that a state summoned "Paternity" suit involving Brandon Rush means that he has a child.  You be the judge.

I should also add in that the state has been paying for baby rush's needs.  They are now going after Brandon to get reimbursed for the money they payed earlier in the year.  This is why it's labeled "Paternity," as the state needs physical proof that he is the father in order to move onto a child support.  Another thing that squawks will forget to mention is that after paternity is established, the parents of the child will very often agree to a settlement without an additional courtdate.

To be fair, we don't know that Brandon even knew he had a child until he was summoned, so he may not in fact be a deadbeat dad.  But can you imagine the odds of that?

They were the ones that started a false rumor about BW raping a chick. They call us classless. Rofls.

You can't be racist and like basketball.
As far as I'm concerned, if he isn't living with the child, he can be considered a deadbeat.

Well technically if he didn't know he had a child, he couldn't pay child support.

Therefore, Rush = Deadbeat Dad.

The ONLY way he can break that label now is if we find out he's been paying child support for the childs entire life, and helping the mother with her medical bills.  But even if that's the case, you could call him a deadbeat dad for denying he had a child.

I haven't seen a little boy (or girl) in the stands at Phog Allen decked out in ku gear with a juniors jersey of Brandon Rush on. But you can bet one thing, if he does get formally charged and has to pay child support, there will be one from then on out.

the funny part was when the ku fans were outraged at the thought of rush having a child.  they pretty much all admit it now, so the entertainment value is gone.  i don´t really care if the rush family is paying for the child´s costs or not.

As far as I'm concerned, if it pisses them off, it's a good thang.

KSUFANS is a proud servant of the public interest.

The Management here applauds the vigilance its members in the pursuit in social justice.   Brandon Rush's kid will not fall through the cracks because some ku player decides he doesn't want to take responsibility for his actions.   This is what makes us proud to be KSU fans.

Good work all!

Agreed sys.

They all conveniently forget their main argument for Rush being a deadbeat dad.  "HE DOESN'T EVEN HAVE A KID!"

Oops.

Guess he does.  Now what?

"OH YEAH?  WELL...TYLER HUGHES!  HAHAHAHA!  K-STATE SUCKS!  YOU'RE RACIST FOR PICKING ON B.RUSH!(<----My personal favorite.)WE'RE GOING TO SUE YOU FOR LIBEL!(even though it's on a messageboard.  Hmm.  Does anyone remember when phog started that fun little rumor that Bill Walker raped a chick?  Yeah, that's not more slanderous than saying a guy has a kid."

And lol mj.

I'm honestly thinking of going down to the jackson county courthouse and getting a copy of that cases records.  They're open to the public, apparently.  That would blow this whole thing wiiiiide open.  Of course, I have to overcome my monstrous laziness after I get off work to do so.

No jayhawks have gone to the courts to get the records themselves.  I can't figure out if this is because they are too damn ignorant, or if they're too damn dumb.  Perhaps they could have already, and that's why they're not posting them?

Excellent idea.

I'm thinking that once we get ahold of them and get them scanned, we need to gloss "KSUFANS.COM" over every page.  Once up, it would circulate the internet faster than anything we've ever started on this site before.  Major publicity for ksufans.com

Absolutely.  I think that's a great idea.  We'll start his own web page of "Save Brandon Rush's kid" on this website.

Let's not lose sight here.. we're talking about a kid who's dad doesn't even recognize him.  ku fans are doing nothing to help this poor kid.  He's an outcast in his own community.  When Phil Bennett's wife was killed, we all came together to help a fellow human being.  This is no different, except that Brandon obviously does not want to take care of his own.

We have to act because we care.   We want to show his kid what it means to be around people with character.

Why go to the courthouse when it's on the internet?  Did you miss this?

No, I realize that's on the internet.  That's what everyone has been talking about.  I'm talking about actual documentation on the case.  Who was involved, what time, why, etc.  Basically the juicy details that the internet doesn't have.

I think we all need to donate money to him.  How over the top would that be.  ku fans would get pissed that we have to support their players kids.  Someone has to
