To add on, there was one area here where Anderson really did a good job of breaking down how Huggins' defends ball screens. Our bigs just try to be physical and force the screener out instead of hedging as koug and I discussed earlier in the weak. The thought behind it seems to be more often than not you'll reroute the ball enough to recover and even if you get beat you'll have help in the lane. Against MU this breaks down some b/c you have to guard MU's shooters (namely Matt Lawrence and Horton to a lesser extent) AND MU did a good job of clearing out one side of the floor so help couldn't come. Then it seemed with both Hannah and Lawrence even when help got there they were able to make really tough shots in the paint at the bucket. Finally, we had a couple breakdowns leading to a few wide open looks from 3 when we rotated wrong and another time we completely lost an MU player leading to an open dunk.
MU's halfcourt O was good last night, and when Hannah is that on he's able to set up others b/c he puts so much pressure on the defense. Overall, not really a poor effort on our part as much as it was a great game by MU on the offensive end IMO.
