Texas [16-5 (6-1), RPI: 43, SOS: 116]   vs  Kansas State [16-6 (5-2), RPI: 46, SOS: 96
Without Durant's, what would Texas record be?
Huggins = a classic season of coaching. How many coaches who were on the market last season, could have done what Huggins have done so far in the season? none.
This saturday comes down to: Team coaching vs superstar Durant's.

Any thoughts?

You can't be racist and like basketball.
Asking what UT's record would be like Durant is like asking what KSU's record would be without Huggs.

    The very best.
Anyone know the last win over a ranked team on the road for the cats?
It is a tragedy because now, we have at least an extra month without Cat football until next year. I hate wasting my life away but I can hardly wait until next year.

Barnes is far from being a horrible coach.

Thx. We need to start a thread that keeps a running count of all the records Huggs is breaking this year.

Holy f.  It's stats like this (stats I've had to ignore just to digest KSU Bball) that show just how far this program has fallen.

11 years?

In response the the original thread-I think this is UT's biggest "trap" game of the year and is the best chance KSU has of knocking off a team that will be favored over them.

1)UT is already starring down aTm
2)They are VERY talented (Caption Obvious), but also young, which matches up well with our upper-classmen led team
3) Our overall intensity on the glass, and defense WILL take them by surprise.  It will be very interesting to see how UT responds.
4) KSU has proven itself on the road and with our experience, I don't think they will be intimidated at all in Austin
5) What better situation for Huggins to display his superior coaching skills?  They will show up for this game, but will it be enough?

Nope, IIRC.  I was fortunate enough to be there.

Looking at their results from last year, they were 3-4 at one point, and had won 7 in a row, including a pantsing of Kentucky, going into the KSU game.  They'd have probably been ranked the next week if we hadn't beaten them.  I still can't believe that happened.  The fact they were unranked doesn't make that win any less sweet or memorable.

i don't believe so.  thats when we started out 1-2 in the big 12 and were still maturing. then we went on the 16-1 run that got us into the polls for good.

I agree with those reasons, it will be interesting if we can slow Durant down (less that 20 pts.)
