    warm up the EMAW
Special emoticon Tigerboard shout-out edition! :chirp:

*Student section was ELECTRIC.  Inspired cheering and probably the best I've ever heard it.  If we can somehow keep this thing rolling and be at 8 or 9 wins <-----( :dancin:sweet Jesus that would be awesome! :dancin:)going into Big Monday with ku then the roof of the Fred might blow off and all of us will be swept like little ToTo's over to Ahearn to finally slay the beast in Hat town.

*Chairbacks were not even close to being full.  The eye of Sauron is firmly upon you chairbacks.

*Huggy getting the "old folks" into it was classic and they showed up kicking and screaming....finally.

*Bob Krause at one point looked like he was ready to trade his life of academic service for a blunt force blow to the head of Ed Hightower.

*Bill Snyder thoroughly enjoyed the scene from "Big" where they played Heart and Soul and Chopsticks on the huge foot piano.  Happiest I've seen him since Darren Sproles left town.

*41-19.  WTF?  Unbelievable.

*Cartier Martin/David Hoskins  hats off Seniors.  You guys played your asses off and deserved this victory.  Especially Cartier though.  The effort on the boards was FAAANNNN-TASTIC!

*Stefon Hannah 6-8 from 3   Thank GOD that we shut down Lawrence, this could have been a horrid, long, cold night.

*Akeem:  4-9 fg, 1-1 3pt, 3-4 ft  for 12 points/8 boards/2 steals  Great game.

*Bennett-  Once he quickens up his feet, leaves more space (he's 7'3" he can spare another 6 inches of space off his man) stays vertical at all times and doesn't let his man take him off the dribble he's going to be an absolute force.  When he was in they didn't score any easy buckets and nothing from inside 15 ft.  With his big body he's going to get some bad calls against him but he will learn.  Was a force in there, kudos JB.  Also, hilarious when he came out with his own pizza box and demanded $5 a slice.  Does that break any NCAA rules?

*Great, scrappy come-from-behind win.  Lance struggled.  Option #1 had some tough times at the point, but others picked up the slack (namely Blake Young/Jermaine Maybank) and three SOLID performances out of Akeem, Cartier and Dave.  Akeem is becoming my favorite Wildcat quickly.  Unlike Cole Aldrich he actually does remind me of Rodman.....well he has a little Tony Kitt in him at least and for now that's plenty good enough.

Tonite is the kind of spelling that might appear outside a tavern or a titty bar, it is the only appropriate spelling in Hugginistaville.

Maybe he thought it was a non-animated version of "Pinocchio".

Bennett did the finger wag for the student section after the game, too.

Anyways, funniest moment: the Willie head on the lead guitarist of Dire Straits.

Whatever.  I'll read your post tomorrow morning and promise to make serious comments on it at that time.  I know that's not much to look forward to, but it looks to be about all you've got right now.

Bennett is a friggin riot. He also did the K-S-U.
It is a tragedy because now, we have at least an extra month without Cat football until next year. I hate wasting my life away but I can hardly wait until next year.

1)  Great post KK.    I'll keep with your emoticon theme in honor of our friends at TB.

2)  Clent had a miserable game passing.  He needs to realize that he can't make those dipsy-do passes, and stick with just protecting the ball.  He was doing a fine job of that.   :poundon:

3)  Harris had four or five straight possessions, offense and defense, where he blew something.  He has a bad habit of letting something bad on the offensive end carry over onto the defenseive end.  Actually, our entire team did that a couple of times.   :banghead:

4)  My apologies to everyone who sits around me.  I'm still getting used to not being in the student section.  I'm sure you don't appreciate my continued shouted commentary on the game or encouragement/chiding of the players.  I'll work on it.

5)  Ed Hightower, come on.  You guys called a completely different game in the first half than in the second.  Shame, shame.    :bs:

6)  Great crowd!  I was expecting 9000 with all the snow reports.  We had 11,300.  Cool that folks are sticking around for the post-game, too.  It got electric in there...and the alumni at the ends stand up a lot more than the chairbacks.   :ksu:

7)  Akeem may be the most consistent performer on this team.  Akeem, I apologize for yelling "NO!" when you shoot that jumper right inside the three point line.  Given how you've played, I won't yell that anymore.    :beerchug:

8 )   I still love watching Bennett.  Although...Ed came pretty close to t'ing him up at one point.  Easy, Jason...easy.   :block:

9)  Once again, great use of zone.   :dancin:

10)  Finally, Mizzou:  I hate you.  I hate your whiny coach.  I hate your whiny point guard.  I hate your whiny fans.  I hate that you were able to even keep the game as close as it was.  So, in the words of the great Sean Connery:

"Shuck it long, and shuck it hawd."

Slimz, great post.  And you nailed Stew tonight, the majority of the game he was simply Clent Stewart then he had a stretch where he thought he was John Stockton and he sucked.

Hannah has really taken on the whiny personality of his coach, I'm glad he's becoming "a man".

Yeah, I saw that.  Shades of Tyler Hughes at the ku game, very awkward, but very funny.

The Bill Walker "LOUDER" video continues to amuse.

Slimz.  I was right with you on the Akeem part.

Suggestion----->  Just imagine he is Diarra in Allen.  Its hard at first, but it gets easier as time goes on.  He does so much for the team I can't clown my boy like that anymore.  I gave up my David Hoskins "please don't shoot that three!" drum beat (he's currently 9-44 for 20%) because he has stepped it up at the FT line (averaging 6.6 trips to the line per game this year so far and on pace to almost reach the Massey '04 and-1 to-the-line stratosphere [205 trips for Massey!])

If you don't know what he's talking about I honestly question whether you've been to the past two games.

Theres a quick video they show of Walker in front of the camera smiling and 'raising the roof' while it says GET LOUD behind him or MAKE SOME NOISE or something like that. I only love it cuz its Billy but it s a bit akward.

loved it when colon shoved marshall brown while running down the court right after brown made a basket.

we got ourselves an enforcer.

i'm kind of hoping the student section's love affair with jb starts to really get under the skin of colon.  something tells me the more pissed off he is, the more fun i'm going to have watching him play.

Don't you mean "the more likely it is that Colon will get himself ejected"?

My memory is beginning to fail me but does anyone else remember seeing Cartier through a stiff elbow at someone when running up court?  I thought it was the coolest thing I'd ever seen.
