ku has been the 2nd or 3rd best team in the conference for about 4 years now, they've just played in the North.

What a joke.  ku has never lost to a Big 12 South team at home.  We won at A&M and Oklahoma State last year as well.  Texas was our main competition last year and we proved we were the better team by winning the Big 12 Tournament in Dallas.

pretty sure the entire premise of this thread is false.

you see, most hawks would actually love to see ksu get better.  it would be great for them to have a quality rival in the north.  not only do they just love competitive, well-played bball, but there is a school of thought that the lack of talent amongst the rest of the north has directly contributed to the hawks slightly underperforming in the postseason recently.  so you see, the hawks would like nothing better than for ksu to not only beat mu, but to also mount a serious threat for the big 12 title.  they´ve been waiting for nothing less.

ku football has always been so average, while K-state's past has been horrible. Ksu has had some brillant years RECENTLY that has made Ksu a top 25 program.

Since Bill Self was hired, ku is something like 5-6 away from home against South teams. You've gotten drilled @ OSU and @UT and have lost the last two times at TT.  ku wouldn't have had the record it had in the Big 12 if it had to play in the South.

Big 12 Basketball = Mountain West Football

Big 12 Basketball only BCS conference to not win an NC in the last 10 years (span of conference existence).  Only 4 Big 12 teams have won NC's all time, 3 in the 40's and 50's, 1 20 years ago (required hiring a truck driver and probation.)
