pretty sure the entire premise of this thread is false.
you see, most hawks would actually love to see ksu get better. it would be great for them to have a quality rival in the north. not only do they just love competitive, well-played bball, but there is a school of thought that the lack of talent amongst the rest of the north has directly contributed to the hawks slightly underperforming in the postseason recently. so you see, the hawks would like nothing better than for ksu to not only beat mu, but to also mount a serious threat for the big 12 title. they´ve been waiting for nothing less.
