KK, I appreciate your passion and opinion. I am no Clent Stewart lover...however, I have to say, the team does much better at getting into an offense when he is in the lineup than when Young or Maybank are in the lineup. In that sense, Stewart has become the glue. His defensive footwork has improved dramatically. He really sucked through the non-con at moving his feet and constantly watched quick guys blow right by him. However, he has improved alot in this area. His 3 pt shooting has been fairly good in conference. Look, he is no playmaker, as we would like a point to be, and he seldom sets up others, but, neither does Young or Maybank. I like what Maybank can do defensively because of his long arms and aggressiveness, and Young's quickness can cause problems, although I would like to see him show some solid footwork on D instead of just attack and try to recover. Right now, Stewart gives us the best chance to win because he gets the offense started, and can contribute when he is forced to on O and his confidence is improving to where he is starting to penetrate. His D is no longer the liability it once was. We are 9 deep right now, and Huggins juggles combinations throughout games trying to keep the D fresh and find combinations of talents to produce W's. It has worked against those we must beat so far...lets just hope that continues and their confidence improves to where they can get a W against those we don't think they can beat now.
