I think New Mexico has enough athletic ability, scoring, and will beat WSU. Thoughts.

Only way NM beats WSU is if they somehow get WSU to drive to New Mexico and play in the Pit.  Or they absolutely go nuts from 3, but that only usually happens in the Pit as well.  I could see WSU frustrating New Mexico and winning comfortably.

    I said throw down, boy!!
New Mexico might be the ultimate Jekyll and Hyde (road and home) team.  In the pit they can play with almost anybody, outside of the pit they get slaughtered.  Neutral court...hmm...WSU wins by double digits (~15) in a game that is never very exciting.

Speaking of WSU, K-State vs WSU talk is firing up today:

Quote
At least one Wildcat would welcome an annual showdown with WSU, which reached the Sweet Sixteen last year under 1980s Hayden standout Mark Turgeon.

"I would like to play them every year," senior Cartier Martin said.

Quote
K-State coach Bob Huggins, asked whether he would like to schedule the Shockers in the future, wasn’t exactly gushing about the possibility.

“Man, I’m just trying to get through the year,” he said. “When you see our schedule (next season), you won’t be disappointed.”

Huggins was referring to trips the Wildcats will take to New York City and Orlando, Fla. No mention, however, of Wichita State.

Quote
From Wichita State’s perspective, seeing K-State and the Shockers go at it, beyond the chance it might happen Saturday, is realistic. Rohn is not as certain, though, about ku and Wichita State. That series has had a major gap since the last time they met. The Jayhawks and Shockers haven’t played since Jan. 6, 1993.

“There are open lines of communication there,” Rohn said of ku and Wichita State. “But I definitely think it (K-State and the Shockers) is something that’s going to happen.

New Mexico is very average on the road.  WSU in a laugher.

Cheesy Mustache QB might make an appearance.

New warning: Don't get in a fight with someone who doesn't even need to bother to buy ink.

You can't be racist and like basketball.
I don't think you can watch WSU/UNM unless you have Cox.

If you can, let me know.

It is a tragedy because now, we have at least an extra month without Cat football until next year. I hate wasting my life away but I can hardly wait until next year.

New Mexico destroying WSU.  NM up by 10, Giddens demolishing them.

Come on Shocks, we did our part and won, now do yours.  We don't really gain anything by playing New Mexico.

Walker Quote

""I don't care who we play. I just want to win this tournament. We can get a couple of wins here and get rolling into conference play and make something special out of this tournament," Walker said. "I want to be the first group to make it to the (NCAA) Tournament since 1996."

Big 3 pt shot for NM.  Doesn't look like we'll be playing WSU this year either.

6 pt game with under 40 to go.
