No gameplan in college football can overcome 6 TOs, especially when they lead to direct scores and short fields for the opponent. Especially when they occur early and you get a 2 score deficit on the road. Especially when you go into a game already banged up, you don't have your best deep threat at WR, and immediately you lose your 3rd starting secondary player in the 1st quarter. This was a TEAM loss to a solid football team that due to a culmination of events; mistakes by a freshman QB, shoddy tackling, a couple poor calls, injuries, a few questionable play calls, and an opponent who had a good plan, played more physical and made more plays, just to name a few.
I usually don't complain much about officials, and they were pretty poor, probably both ways. I will only say if you are allowed to "block" like ku was in a zone scheme, there is no reason for every team not to run zone in college footbal.
