That was what made '98 so incredible. Building a football team into a national title contender is practically impossible for a school outside the elites (USC, ND, Miami, ND, FSU, NU, PSU, OSU, UT.....) in basketball all it takes is a couple of players and a tourney run.
The sport is MUCH more egalitarian in terms of potential for turnaround. So I agree, but Snyder's potential '98 is untradable for.
