UCLA  Manhattan, Kan.    TBA  ------------------------------W :hope:

  Missouri State  Manhattan, Kan.   ---------------------------W

 Manhattan, Kan.    TBA  -------------------------------------W

North Texas  at Denton, Texas    TBA  -----------------------W

Nebraska *  Manhattan, Kan.    TBA  ------------------------Toss up.

Iowa State *  at Kansas City, Mo.    TBA  -------------------W

Kansas *  at Lawrence, Kan.    TBA  -------------------------Toss up

Baylor *  at Waco, Texas    TBA  ---------------------------Toss up/Letdown Game

Oklahoma State *  Manhattan, Kan.    TBA  ------------------Will be very interesting with a new qb.  Gonna say W

   Texas *  Manhattan, Kan.    L

Missouri *  at Columbia, Mo.    L

definately some toss ups in there but I think that 4-4 and 7-8 wins overall is almost a lock unless Slamur is a complete bust.

Cu depends on hawkins IMO.

ISU won't have Arnaud(senior?)

Also if we beat Nubb and are undefeated there will be quite a few kstaters for that one, bandwagoners will be out in droves.

maybe its the emaw...but looking at that schedule makes me kinda think we go bowling next year. Depends on alot between now and then. We'll have plenty of defensive linemen to work with.

The "S" stands for S--L--O--W.   :bonk: <---Slamur emoticon, should be changed to :slamur:, IMO.

Arrowhead will be madness.
It is a tragedy because now, we have at least an extra month without Cat football until next year. I hate wasting my life away but I can hardly wait until next year.

Depends on if Slamur is Ell reincarnated or Jeff Schwinn zombified.

If we get a really good QB 10-2
If we have a mediocre QB 8-4
If we have a QB of Gregory's ability 6-6 (but 6 bowl eligible wins)

How does what you wrote jibe with what has happened - and what continues to happen - on the football field between Nebraska and Kansas State?

Just a stupid, meaningless thing to write.

wins:  Missouri St, @NT
winnable:  UCLA, UCF, NU, ISU, @ku, @BU, OSU, @CU
losses:  UT, @ MU

I think it plays out like this:

UCLA   W
Missouri State   W
UCF  W
@ North Texas W
Nebraska W
Iowa State W
@ Kansas L
@ Baylor L
Oklahoma State W
Texas L
@ Missouri  L
@ Colorado L

If......
 - we have a decent QB
 - those juco DT's work out
 - we magically get good LB's

then we might get to 9 wins.

Amazing how getting a really good QB for next year could make us a pretty good team, but with a sucky one means scratching just to get a bowl at best.

You really think we lose all three road games to ku, CU, and BU?

I'll give you BU, they could actually be pretty decent if their QB comes back healthy, but ku and CU will be in rebuilding mode.  Lose both of those (or even 1 of them) and I will have major questions about Snyder.

I don't trust road games.  Road wins since '04....

04 - MU (5-6)
05 - Marshall (4-7)
06 - CU (2-10)
07 - UT (10-3, freak accident)
08 - A&M (4-8)
09 - none

I don't think ku will end up being that bad of a team next year, their schedule will certainly provide them some confidence, even with a coaching change (which actually might be good for them).  CU has athletes.  There's really no reason for them to be that bad.

ku will be the worst team in the north.

isu will be a pain in the ass.

cu: scotty mckinght cannot do everything. they will struggle.

nu: big time defense losses.

mu: going to be a b*tch

Spot on. I'm scared that CU gets an awesome coach who brings in a stud QB immediately. Pretty much my biggest fear.

I think this team will make a lot of improvement on the offensive side of the ball.  The running game should be very solid and it's hard to imagine Snyder won't get some consistency going in the passing game.  He always had some playmakers at receiver...even in a few of those down seasons he picked up Yamon and had the start of Jordy's development.  Brodrick Smith will probably be a solid player for us.  No idea if Harper plays that position but he is a possibility.

The secondary should be fine.  Hopefully Harold comes back and is a stud.  If he is then the loss of Fitz is minimized.  We can only get better at LB.

You guys really think OSU is going to be THAT down next year?  Seems like they have been able to really build up a lot of talent.

Yeah, good call.  OSU has talent and will probably be pretty good again.  Still, we have a shot at home, or at least I think we split OSU/NU at home.  I'll say we beat OSU here, but could go either way.
