I hate to be power tardish, but the PG is the QB, he controls the pace and direction of the game.  When you hog it and force it you kill your team.

You would have to try pretty hard to convince me that they would play worse defense than Clemente did tonight.  And it would have been damn near impossible not to run the offense better.  Clemente finished with what, 1 assist?

those guys are freshman I'll assume they will improve.  Clemente is a 5th year senior the oldest most experienced guy on the floor and he plays like that?  Four games into his senior season and he's yet to play well kind of tired of it.

IMO Clemente seems to feed off emotion. Playing in front of 30 people is not so emtional. Give him a crowd and he'll do better.

clemente's offense is fine, defense is bad.  need long guards that can shoot the 3 and handle.  Like, NBA guards.

The tourney is in Puerto Rico.  I would think these would be the most emotional games he plays all season.  He sucked down the stretch last season and has sucked so far this year.  I'm starting to think he just actually sucks and got hot for a stretch in the middle of conference play last season.

Denis's offense was TERRIBLE until that dude stole the ball from him in the backcourt and made him look like a fool.  He finally snapped out of his stupor and played a little ball.  I think we all knew it already, but tonight made it clear that we can't afford to have our offense go through 2 very inconsistent scorers - Pullen and Clemente.  Kelly needs to take more shots.  Wally looked good shooting it - need to get him more involved on the offensive end as well.  Where was JamSam?  Dude was a no-show.

Was pretty surprised that Miss's PG was clearly quicker/faster than Denis.    GD...their entire team was built.  What do they feed athletes in MS?  Holy crap.

If Jam-Sam, Dennis, and Jake all have subpar games together we aren't going to beat any good teams.  That said, i don't expect this perfect storm of playing terrible to happen often.
