i just checked phog.net and espn.com and there is absolutely no mention of this on either of those two internet websites. it is my gut instinct that the original poster is spreading a false rumor. why he's doing this i don't know. either way, i suggest not helping him anymore by replying to this thread.

I really think we should delete this thread and issue and immediate retraction/apology to Mangino and his family.  Insinuating this type of thing without concrete evidence would surely lead to a lawsuit and we all know how well connected those J-Hawk fans are with KC attorneys.  Hell, as we speak, I imagine Jayhox is on the phone with one or more prestigious frims outlining their legal recourse.
