3pm against pittsburgh.

obviously a big game right out of the box for the cats. how will they fair against jamie dixon and pittsburgh. with their great player dejuan blair, i hope that our newcomers like wally mcgruder and judge will be able to contain him. the jury is still out on this right now.  ;)

also, with bill cowher no longer being the football coach there, they've really seemed to turn into quite the basketball school. kind of like us when snyder was gone for a while. i've heard rumors that cowher may come back into coaching. it would be incredible if he went back to pittsburgh just like bill snyder came back to us. anyway feel free to weigh in with thoughts on this game here.

I hope we win, I hope Judge fairs well against Blair.

Question?

If we get into foul trouble who guards Blair?

i'm not sure. darren kent (white tiger) graduated last year. I heard a while ago that there was a big man from Florida that was going to transfer here so maybe him. If not him then maybe another freshman like curtis kelley or something. i'm not sure. blair is the obvious matchup problem here. i think our good players like dennis clemente are too small to guard him. maybe his quickness could make up for it though.

is this game a home game or road game, to be honest i think the home team steals this one.  didn't even realize we played pittsburgh this year, is this part of the big east vs big 12 challenge?

Cheesy Mustache QB might make an appearance.

big east vs big 12 challenge?

That is played in Puerto Rico iirc.  We got matched up with Boston (one of the lower level Big East teams).

i thihnk this is misinformation. i'm almost certain that the xavier game later this year is the big east/big 12 challenge game. i remember playing them up there last year and then they will have to play at bramledge this year and then next year they will change the matchups.

pissclams- as i just mentioned, this game is in bramledge. i'm sure this helps our chances too.

ok good to hear it is a home games.

can anyone find out what league the crew that will be working the games is from?  i'm serious, if these guys are a big east crew i will be pissed if they let the games turn into a big east slugfest.

home games advantage can be overruled by big east officials, seriously

wow.  what a great rookie class for the spurs - dejuan blair AND tim duncan.  david robinson wins MVP hands down if they can both have good years.

I was kinda hoping this game was going to be played in Pittsburgh.  I've always wanted to see that Rocky statue, and I imagine it would be cool to party with all the Pittsburgh Phillie's fans after they knock of the Mets and win the National title game.

GMAB.  7' Freshman Jordan Hernandez will be all over him with his enormous wingspan.

i can see Bennett blocking about 50% of Blair's chances then getting tossed after multiple warnings regarding his Mutumbo no-no hand signals.  come on Bennett we need you the whole game if we wanna win this thing!

I don't know who will guard Blaire I'm a little more concerned with Mario Lemuex (sp)  I heard he can score a little bit and he has this thing they call hat tricks, Not sure what it is but it sounds fancy.

    Sniff Sniff. . . I smell Heisman.
i heard pitt is considering not playing the game. they were under the impression that the game would be in manhattan, new york. not manhattan, kansas. i believe that pitt was hoping to play the game on a playground in the ghettos of the inner city where there is danger at every corner, no doubt that they want to implement theire thuggish style against us.
