    The very best.
It is a tragedy because now, we have at least an extra month without Cat football until next year. I hate wasting my life away but I can hardly wait until next year.

My source informed me that this WSU staff member had Clemente mistaken for C Merriwether.  ;)

iirc the guy said something like:  Our guards played crappy and were on par with their guards.  Our bigs outplayed their bigs.  Clemente missed, like, 8 free throws in a row.  WSU prolly won but it wasn't very indicative of the play on the court.  The guy who posted it was getting his info second hand from someone connected with WSU.

I just went to see if there was anything on shockernet . . . nothing.

But it was a glaring reminder of the whiniest biggest bunch of pissants in all of college athletics . . . Wushuck fans.

I'm pretty sure that 'scrimmage' results are not allowed to be posted anywhere, and that coaches are not allowed to talk about them.

Seriously, who cares whether WSU beat KSU in the scrimmage or not?  My understanding is that in these scrimmages, WSU and KSU coaches get together and set up situations that they want to work on.

Scoring results don't matter.  So, if KSU is in a 2-3 zone and WSU is scoring at will, Martin isn't going to have KSU switch defenses so he can prevent WSU from scoring.  He's going to make KSU continue to play that zone and get better at it.  Also, each portion of the scrimmage only lasts 10 or 20 minutes(game clock time) then they reset scoring and start again.

Was in Wichita yesterday an heard that the WSU men's team actually BEAT our boys in the basketball scrimmage. I realize that it is just a scrimmage and doesn't mean anything, but I raised an eyebrow none the less. Anyone else heard this? Sorry if has already been posted.

Heard the same thing. Marshall's son goes to same school as my kids.

Yes, Yes . . . WSU would own everyone if the darn season was just a series of controlled scrimmages where the coaches got together before hand and told each other what they were going to do, and what they wanted to work on.

remember when WSU won the 2008 mid December national championship?  possibly the greatest 4 weeks of baskeball in the history of the college game directed by Turgeon.
