Remember when that oneuponaggie guy with the Oakleys on a lanyard predicted that we would have some kind of terrible season Frank's first year and then tried to say that clams or I changed his post when we pulled it up late in the year?  lol

I don't understand the 'Bama loss. That aside, you both seem pretty close to my predictions.

Watch for the Terriers in San Juan...  :)

I've said all along 25 wins. And anyone who knows me has heard my spiel about Frank before - I said he'd win 100-plus games in four seasons, reach the NCAA Tournament three times... and leave.

I said that when he was named coach, and I stand by my words. Now, John Currie can change all of that if he simply, as 'Sheed Wallace would say, CTC - cut(s) the check. And if this talk of a practice facility actually goes somewhere.

JMart... first of all... i disagree. I think KSU will hold on to Martin much like MU has held onto Anderson.

2nd of all - in this disastrous dream you have, which programs do you see being viable for Martin and how much of the coaching staff leaves with him? (dont question it. Just use ur future seeing powers and answer the Q).  :blindfold:

Now everyone is buying into it.  :curse:  :D

I have wondered aloud why Currie didn't lock Frank in, long term, as one of his first official acts when he got here. My two viable reasons as to why he hasn't done so yet are: Giving a big contract to a relatively unproven coach on the heels of the financial scandals might have rubbed some fans the wrong way, or they'd really like to get Frank locked in but he's holding out until he can get this practice facility thing worked out once and for all. God, I'd love to see Frank get signed long tearm, even if the team doesn't live up to some of these lofty predictions.

'Cause perennial NCAA tournament coaches get PAID, son.  They want to be where they can continue to succeed...that means facilities and good recruiting.

i disagree, unless we dont have a clear cut successor in place.  at which point i would agree entirely.  however i hope that currie would realize we either have frank or we dont and if we dont that he has a pretty good idea of the coaches we could get to replace him.

WTF does clear cut successor mean?  He isn't going to retire, he's going to leave for a better gig where he will get paid more and have a nice practice facility.  He needs to pay his ass and build some f^cking facilities.

if currie forces martin out, i will send him a strongly worded, yet well-mannered email in which i outline my concerns as a fervent supporter of kansas state basketball.  then, when he invites me to his office to personally discuss how we can both best channel our incredible support for kstate athletics into positive, actionable goals, i will shoot him.

currie should have a choice right now or by the end of this year for someone he thinks could replace martin if he left for another job.  he should do this every year and it should be a guy we can get.  coaches leave schools for reasons other than just money all the time.

Or just pay the current coach what he deserves and build a practice facility on par with the rest of the conference we are supposedly trying to compete with.  Building a list of viable replacements is a 15 minute process.

Unless we promote Te I don't see who could keep the ball rolling here.  And I'm skeptical that even Te and his mad recruiting skills could.  We need to make Frank crazy richx5.  And put in a practice gym.

this practice facility talk is nonsense.  seriously, it's dumb.  we don't need one. spend the money on players/recruiting and coaches contracts when the time comes.

Cheesy Mustache QB might make an appearance.

New warning: Don't get in a fight with someone who doesn't even need to bother to buy ink.
