Multiple screen passes and shovel passes will be used this weekend.  We haven't seen the Wildcat used much lately either -- expect more.

Snyder will pull all tricks out of all bags this weekend -- special team trickery included.

He hates OU (Venzy) and will do everything possible to embarrass them.

I heard that Stoops routinely sends flowers to funeral homes in the Manhattan area in remembrance of Bill Snyder.

I think Snyd's has been using less screen passes the last 2 games to make the Sooners think that we're trying to hid those screen passes from them. But actually, the screen pass is just a red herring. Actually, we'll be setting up fake screen passes to throw it to Lamark deep. Look for Lamark to have 200 yards receiving this week if we're gonna win this one.

The sad thing is that Lamark is very capable of that kind of performance.  The flip side is that his is also likely to not do jack.  If we could figure out how to utilize him in the parallel way that we do the D. Train.  Our offense would be another level of improved.

Deep down I think Snyder would get the most personal satisfaction by beating OU, rather than any other team, so we will probably see something new on offense. The question is whether it will actually work...

I agree that the O is too vanilla to do anything too special though. Thinking we have more plays in our bag of tricks yet to be shown (that would actually work) assumes you have to think guys like Snipes are quality Big XII receivers...

I predict we'll see the guards pull a lot of the time Saturday; we'll see a lot of misdirection; the fullback will carry the ball several times and see a few passes thrown his way; we'll see some screen passes; and a shuttle pass or two. Oklahoma is a speed team and Bill knows the way to counter speed - misdirection - get them to overrun plays. That'll slow 'em down and make 'em start guessing, instead of reading their keys. Then he's got 'em. Can't wait 'til Saturday night!

No, the secret to beating OU's offense is throwing to guys in the middle of the field when Ryan Reynolds (middle linebacker) is in the game.  That has been the weakness for the past couple of years.

He's game-planning with inferior talent, but working on schemes that put us in the best position to compete, and with any luck, to win.

No, the secret to beating OU's offense is throwing to guys in the middle of the field when Ryan Reynolds (middle linebacker) is in the game.  That has been the weakness for the past couple of years.

Remember the 03 OU team the "Best in the History of NCAA" per the talking heads of the media? Yeah, pretty sure OBz SCHOOLED that defense by using their speed to their disadvantage. This yrs defense is pretty fast too, watch out for the overpersuing.
