It is a tragedy because now, we have at least an extra month without Cat football until next year. I hate wasting my life away but I can hardly wait until next year.

Garage sales.  Except for underwear.  For that, I go to Saks.

Von Maur. Love the place...

And throw in an occasional trip to Target for socks, boxers, t-shirt, etc.

Oh, and Cat's Closet & Varney's!

A couple months ago I was going through a bunch of stuff I had piled in a storeroom at my Dad's house and came across a gift certificate that I got for Christmas in 2000.  It is actually a paper gift certificate, not a gift card.  I tried to see if it was still good but when I got online they only way to check for giftcards was if they had a pin #.  This one was so old it didn't have a pin.  Finally had to call their customer service line and it was still good.

I don't think I have bought clothes for the last 4-5 years. Just keep getting free crap and love it.

I spend a lot of money on jeans.  A lot.  Don't really care where my shirts are from, but I mean, come on guys, GAP!??!?1!  lmao.  Isn't that for old people who are trying to be "hip" or overweight peeps trying to find clothes that mask their fattyness???  Could be wrong.   :dunno:

I don't like how they plaster "EAGLE" on their clothing, but the cloths look decent themselves.

    Gettin' angried up!!!
I mostly shop at the internet.  I've been the same size for most of my adult life, so I don't feel the need to try stuff on.  Except polo shirts.  Every damn polo shirt I've found lately is apparently designed for dudes that love tiny shirts. I guess that's how the youngsters like 'em now-a-days.

It seems all clothes are this way for me. I mean, I've got 20 lbs I could lose, but I ain't a giant fatty. All jeans I try on seem to be nut huggers, shirts are skin tight like you say. I'm not metro enough to wear that stuff. And for the record, any dude that has ever used "skinny jeans" to describe something he's wearing is so

So true. I have to get the big and tall polos, otherwise they turn into belly shirts after a couple washes.

Mrs. dave was buying jeans at 7 for All Mankind in NYC a few months ago.  She makes me try some on and the guy helping us told me I had a really nice butt and should not wear loose jeans like the ones I wore in.  I mean, I felt really good about my butt but really bad about my jeans I wore in.  I put my old jeans back on but wore my jacket around my waste for the rest of the day. I later went back and bought the jeans I tried on because I was self concious about my baggy jeans and wanted to show off my apparently great butt.  The sales guy was a genius in retrospect.

JC Pennys seems to have the best selection-quality-price ratio.

My biggest problem with the shirt is the sleeves are so frigging short I have to buy a shirt that like 2 sizes too big for me.  (I don't exactly have the kind of guns that I feel need to be flaunted.)  Then, the rest of the damn shirt is way too frigging big for me, so I'll look like one of those white kids that thinks he's black, wearing some XXL FUBU shirt.  I found out the best way to go is to find a polo that says it a classic fit, which I believe is codeword for middle aged guy fit.

Ill have to pay more attention and look for classic fit, even though im far from middle aged  :blindfold: You are right about the sleeves. I have what you call a farmers tan, and those shirts flash the whiteness a little too much.

Finally stopped being downs and have started taking long forgotten shirts and pants into tailors to have them fitted instead just leaving them in the back of my closet - where clothes go to die. Proud to say I've re-discovered, and rehabilitated several shirts and pants so far.

Can't really explain the positive feelings that come from this. maybe the feeling of reuniting with your child after many years apart is the closest anything could come.
