yeah, I said it, I miss John Madden.

His shtick was tired and old, and redundant much of the time . . . but his voice usually meant big game.

    Hey, basketball!!!
So true. They should replace Collinsworth with Gruden IMHO.

Michaels/Gruden > Summerall/Madden

Nothing bad about Cris. I just think that Gruden is the sh1t....

I mean c'mon, the combo of Michaels & Gruden would be downright lethal.

Yeah I like Collinsworth fine as a commentator, but I think he's annoying during games.  He should be in a studio instead.  He's trying to give too many opinions when he should be analyzing instead.

    I may be full of sh*t, but i won't be de-turd.
Al Michaels is way past his prime

There is a prime in broadcasting?? Besides getting too physically old.
IIRC, most of the well known broadcasters were loved into their 70's and 80's.

Couldn't have said it better. I just hope Musberger doesn't retire soon for the same reason.

This also leads me into another question, what does this mean to EAs Madden football series?

Madden '10 has him just for the "Ask Madden" feature of playcalling, with a really dull new dude that sucks ass to listen to, almost sounds like he's kinda mimicking John Madden's style a bit, it's a complete joke.
